MAKEUP IN MINUTES
First Flush of Spring
Warm up your winter complexion with a hint of color.

Get a jump on spring and warm up your winter pallor with a sweep of color across your cheeks. For a fresh look, choose blush; for a warm glow, choose a bronzing powder. Apply both blush and bronzer in sheer layers and avoid a heavy application. The idea is just to give your face a hint of color.

Blush: Choose a blush shade that enhances your skin tone. For warm or dark skin tones with yellow undertones, choose coral or peach shade; for light skin with blue undertones, look for a rosy pink shade.

> TECHNIQUE TIP: Smile and swirl blush on the apples of your cheeks. Without adding more blush, sweep the brush lightly across your nose, chin and forehead.

Bronzer: Shimmer-enhanced bronzing powder or bronzer gives skin a sun-kissed glow. Especially in early spring, apply the lightest shade that warms your skin to avoid an over-tanned look.

> TECHNIQUE TIP: For a sun-kissed look, brush sheer layers of bronzer across your cheeks, nose, chin and forehead—wherever the sun would normally color your skin. As the weather warms, brush a little on your collar bone and cleavage, too.

Brush: For soft, natural-looking color, use a large, natural-bristle blush brush or large powder brush to apply either blush or bronzer. With any powder makeup it’s always best apply in sheer layers. It takes a little patience, but the results are well worth it!

> TECHNIQUE TIP: To keep your natural cosmetic brushes clean and avoid baterial growth, use a professional brush cleaner every week.
