Rated 5 out of 5 by from excedeed my expections I love this product. In fact I love the entire line of this product. I have searched and searched for a product that would cover my gray in the top of my head and this is it! I hope Sally's never discontnue this product! It's not messy and if used as directed it's a miricale worker. The reason I gave 4 stars on the price value is because the website would not take my Sally's card number which is not expired so, I had to pay full price. That is how much I LOVE this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised! Ok, so this was not what i expected at all! I walked in looking for a cover up to hide my roots, and the girl at Sallys recommended this. I was very skeptical, but she said I could bring it back if I didnt like it. what did I have to lose? It didnt cost much, and the other options were like things I had tried before that didnt really work. I got the dark brown, which turned out to be a good color as it is very dark brown. Well, the results were fantastic. You cant see a gooey mess like mascara type products and it really covers well. Ive gotten caught in the rain, no problem. Ive since been able to space my hair appointments a little farther because this covers so well! Im still kind of amazed that I am using it, it doesnt look like something that would work well, but trust me, it does! Make sure to wet it a little before using, and dont get it on your scalp in the part. I pull my hair tight so I can just get the roots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful! The stick's formula is waxy so it's difficult to get onto the hair. If you are caught in rain, it runs down onto the face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Choice for 20 years! Sometimes, the simple solutions are the best. I've used this product for at least 20 yrs. I've tried other types of gray touch ups and always return to 'Tween Times. One stick lasts a very long time, stays where you apply it and does not transfer to clothing or bed linens. I have sensitive skin and this doesn't cause any reactions. The color match is very good and even provides a little extra body at the roots. I end up using this product for at least half the time between regular hair colorings. And the price can't be beat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!!! oh my gosh! this stuff is amazing! I recently put black chunks in my light brown hair, and I started to see my roots showing. As I am only 12 years old, I am not able to dye my hair every few weeks. So I went to sally' s and bought this, thinking it would be horrible and cheap. I used today after I got out of the shower and it is so easy to apply! it doesn't flake, and when i touch it it doesn't come off onto my fingers. I definetly will be using it throughout the school year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Product "I've been coloring my hair for years and years, but no matter how carefully I keep up on my roots, some parts of my hair seem to grow much faster than others, and they're always the places that are obvious (the top of my head). I have noticeable grays and my natural color is darker than what I dye it, so new growth sticks out like a sore thumb. I was curious about these touch-up sticks, so I bought one in a drugstore. It was horrible. I used it twice and threw it away. I saw all the great reviews for the Roux stick here at Sally's and I decided to try this brand. I color my hair with a level 8 (Titian red blonde) dye mixed 1:2 with 10 Volume developer to get a strawberry/red color. All the colors in the Roux sticks look very dark, and I couldn't imagine how they could blend in with my color. However, I bought Auburn, and it's perfect! It covers both the gray and the darker hair and it blends in so that's it's not at all noticeable. It doesn't get on my scalp, and it lasts until I cleanse my hair. I even add styling products on top of the Roux dye, and it doesn't budge. I also use the stick on my eyebrows, and the color is, somehow, exactly right. This product is ingenious, and I wish I'd tried it years ago!"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lifesaver for transitioning to gray As long as you're aware of this product's limitations, it's pretty great. However, this is a waxy crayon and that's how it will feel on your hair. If you don't have a lot to cover, it could be just the thing for between colorings. I had to stop dyeing my hair due to allegies, and this product has really helped me look presentable during the first couple of months of the transition. (I'm also allergic to those liquid touch-up products.) Because I wear my hair pulled back in a bun, the waxy texture is not a problem--it even helps hold my hair in place. I use a combination of light and dark brown for a more natural effect. Easy to use and economical. Washes out with shampoo. No allergic reaction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This one really works! In the past I have used spray on hair powder, eye shadow and at least four different brands of grey cover up products. All the others either did nothing at all or left a sticky mess in my hair. Roux Tween time crayon is fantastic. Very easy to use. I put it on while my hair is still wet from the shower. It covers completely, does not come off during the day and leaves no residue on my hair. As soon as I tried it I went back and bought three more! I use the dark brown and it blends perfectly. Exactly what I needed for the two weeks before I get my roots done.

I'm needing something to cover thinning spots, will this work?

Asked by: pyt
I have a thinning spot, on a natural cowlick of course, on my crown. I have tried the powders and sprays but they left a fuzzy look. This product works great. Put it on towel dried hair and it not only gives GREAT coverage but adds volume to the thinning spot. Best product I've ever used.

Is it necessary to shampoo this product out before coloring?

Asked by: Anonymous
I would because it does leave a thin layer of color. Been using this for years, love it. Great to use on eyebrows too.

Why such a terrible strong scent in this product?

Great product, but the scent is horrific. It would be better not to have it in this product. Too over-powering.
