How often should AHAs be used?

Most over-the-counter AHA skin care products are designed to be used on a daily basis. If you've never used AHA products, and you skin is sensitive, start slowly. Because AHAs can irritate some skin, begin with a low percentage (2.5% to 5%) AHA product and use every other day. Increase usage to twice daily before tying a stronger formula. Let your own skin's response be your guide. Keep in mind that it may take three to four weeks to see the benefits of AHAs.
