Ambivalent I was initially using quick blue to bleach my hair. I foolishly decided to look for a 'better' brand. So I tried this. It worked okay, but barely lifted my already bleached and dyed hair (Manic Panic Rockabilly Blue). This color is notoriously difficult to get out, however Quick Blue lifted it very quickly, whereas BW2 just got it to a light blue verging on green. When applied to roots, it got to a yellow-orange, which is good considering I have black, african-american hair. With a second application, you can get it to a desirable blonde (same with quick blue). I'm not sure if it's the case for all colors on the manic panic brand, or semi-permanent dyes in general, but for my specific case, bw2 did not perform well for the color. Do a strand test! High Lift This is great for people who have medium brown hair and want a high lifting shade. This lifted my roots from medium brown (around a level 5) to platinum with a 40 volume developer. (maybe i should have used a 30) April 24, 2010
