Items Purchased Online
We'll gladly accept returns for any sallybeauty.com products 90 days from purchase, for any reason, to U.S. and Canada Sally Beauty Supply store locations.
- You will need the packing list that came with your order and the credit card used to make the purchase.
- Shipping will be refunded only if the item was shipped incorrectly, damaged or defective and it is the only item on the order.
Items purchased on sallybeauty.com can also be returned within 60 days of purchase, for any reason, to the sallybeauty.com fulfillment center. For your protection, we do not store credit card numbers and instead use a code for authorizing and settling your credit card. This code remains in effect for only 60 days from the date of the purchase. Therefore, after 60 days from the date of purchase, your credit card cannot be refunded and you will be offered a Sally Gift Card or a check.
Please note that merchandise purchased at local Sally Beauty Stores cannot be returned via mail.
- Please enclose your Packing List with the item being returned.
- We cannot accept COD’s for returned merchandise.
- In the case of shipping damages please contact the carrier or our customer service department.
- Credit will always be issued to the same card to which they were charged.
- Do not return items to sallybeauty.com by Air Mail – The U.S. Department of Transportation restricts air shipment of hazardous materials items that could contribute to a fire or other mishap on board an aircraft. Aerosol products in pressurized spray containers (e.g. hairspray) and products containing flammable, volatile, or corrosive chemicals (e.g. nail polish, nail polish removers) have this restricted status. All of these products must be returned via ground shipping service.
- Original shipping fees will be refunded only if the item was shipped incorrectly, damaged or defective and it is the only item on the order.
- Due to health and hygiene concerns, no exchanges on hair extensions can be accepted for any reason.
- You can return the item to the sallybeauty.com fulfillment center using any method you choose or you can click on the UPS link below and have a label e-mailed to you for return. The cost of the shipping will be covered if the item is damaged, shipped incorrectly or defective. Otherwise, the cost of the return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Items Purchased In-Store
We will happily accept returned merchandise purchased at any of our store locations regardless of which store actually sold the item(s).
- Our basic policy is to make every attempt possible to make an exchange before offering a refund.
- All customers must provide a daytime phone number.
- There are special returns restrictions on electrical items, shears, hair, clipper blades, body jewelry, promotional items, free items, and items not normally sold in-store.
Electrical items and shears may be refunded or exchanged with a receipt only, and within 90 days of purchase. Without a receipt, or after 90 days, we do not offer an exchange or refund--the customer must contact the manufacturer directly to take advantage of their warranty. Synthetic and human hair, clipper blades, and body jewelry cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason.
There are two ways to return merchandise that was purchased in our stores: Exchange: A customer may return merchandise and exchange it for other merchandise without a receipt. If we owe a customer money, we ask that the amount be kept at $5 or less.
Refund (cash or credit to a credit card): When a customer refuses an exchange, they may be issued a refund for merchandise purchased, but only if they have a receipt. This refund must be the same as the original form of payment: Cash or credit to the same credit card.
