Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love them! I buy these for my nose because I hate captive hoops. The one I've got in now I've had for 7 years! After 7 years of showers, make up, sweat, face wash, and swimming it started to discolor so I'm buying new ones today. They're great for the price considering it's lasted so long. The only downsides I've found are little things like when you first get them they aren't easy to open but after a couple days it's not bad at all and if you aren't careful you can pinch yourself. These are also a bigger gauge than normal nose jewelry so using one means you're stretching the hole a little and if you have it out for a couple days it might hurt for a little when you put it back in. Rated 5 out of 5 by Love These! Found these many years ago in a store, then they disappeared. Found them at Sally's about 4 years ago and was so excited I bought 10 pairs. I love, love, love these for my ears. I can't seem to use anything in my upper ear piercings other than these as studs hurt. Please don't ever stop selling these!!! February 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I wear a pair of these all the time. I have my ears pierced 3x and I wear a set of these at the top piercing. November 24, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by great buy These hoops are worth the price and can last for years. They are easy to put in and take out. And they are very comfortable. These studex hoops are the best purchase I have made ever. February 11, 2009

You should get your cartilage pierced with a straight stud and let it completely heal BEFORE you go putting hoops in. If you decide to get that part of your ear pierced you need pay very close attention to it during the healing process. Both of my cartilages have been pierced and I've had problems for years with them. But, that may not apply to you. I buy these hoops because they don't snag my hair and they're excellent quality, so don't worry about them tarnishing on you.

No. You need a straight stud for the cartilage first. Let it heal THEN try out hoops. Studex is excellent quality. Be careful.

Will these earrings function like the old 'sleeper' earrings that were around in the 60's or 70's to pierce your ears if left in day and night for a period of time?
I am looking for the old fashioned sleeper type earrings for my 93 yr. old mother whose piercings have closed up from not having earrings for a while. As she is homebound, it is not possible to take her to a shop for piercing.
