For mega volume, tease hair gently from the back, using a tease comb or brush.
After shampooing, wring water from hair and apply a generous amount of conditioner. Work through hair from roots to ends and rinse. I find one gets better results and deeper conditioning if the conditioner is left in the hair for a few minutes before rinsing. Rinsing in slightly cooler water is also a maximizing technique.
