Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS ACTUALLY WORKS-CRYING TEARS OF JOY My hair was completely ruined after bleaching my red hair, in an attempt to go blonde. After the bleaching and then dying my hair blonde, my hair when wet was mushy and felt like rubber bands. It was like elastic. I cried for days, figuring that I would have to shave my head. Luckily before I took more drastic measures, I read on a blog about the Aphogee two step protien treatment. Reading the reviews from women whose hair was in the exact same condition, with the exact same consistency that my hair was in. I immediately ran out to Sally's and purchase this product. I literally just finished using it, and I am AMAZED, and relieved. This product actually works!!!! my hair is no longer the consistency of rubber bands. I am crying now, but i am crying because i no longer have to chop all my beautiful hair off. This product is only for hair that was in the condition my hair was. I have seen alot of negative reviews from women who used it thinking it was for something that it is definitely not! If you are skeptical, don't be. This product works. I had to purchase two of these two step treatments because i have a lot of hair. But seriously, 8$ to save my hair, that I had assumed was completely unsalvageable, is NOTHING! Do not go to the salon and pay hundreds for something you can do at home for pocket chage. Just be sure to follow the directions to a T. And make sure your hair is in the right condition to use this product! Do your research folks!!! I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!! THANK YOU SALLY'S!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Listen This stuff is so good. Honestly the smell wasn't so bad, I was expecting something horrible. Although it didn't smell the best, it was tolerable. I dyed my hair blue black with a permanent hair dye and it completely ruined my curls. I still don't know how when my hair didn't undergo any major chemicals, but dye is dye. I washed my hair for days trying to get my curls back and nothing helped. My hair was dry and mushy as well as stringy. I deep conditioned and everything. After doing some research, this product was very recommended. I remember I bought this a while back and never knew when it was the best time to use this product. LET ME TELL YOU THIS BROUGHT MY HAIR BACK TO LIFEEEEEEE! Lol I'm normally not even like this but this stuff is amazing. Not going to lie, I was unsure of this product but its amazing. Now, I still have some damage but overall my hair looks and feels so much better than before I used this stuff. Definitely worth a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my 4c hair I had avoided protein conditioners because they left my hair hard and straw like, but I saw good reviews about this product from women with my hair type. My hair has been soft, but broke easily during de tangling and styling. After using this product my hair was soft but felt stronger. I noticed less breakage during detangling and styling. It took almost an hour to become stiff on my hair since I didn't add heat. I will be using once a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective, Inexpensive and Easy! After repeated coloring, bleaching, and keratin treatments, my hair was breaking/tangling/splitting when dry and felt squishy when wet -- indications that my hair needed a protein treatment. Having used other protein treatments ranging from $20 to $150, I am blown away with the results. My hair feels like my hair again, shinier, less tangled and significantly softer. Unlike the numerous negative comments, I found the entire process easy (40 minutes in total), didn't detect any offensive odor, and appreciate the marked improvement to my hair. If your hair needs protein, this definitely worth a try -- thanks, Aphogee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my hair I bleached my hair 4 times in 1 month, it has always been dry but after the bleaching it was a nightmare, mushy, extremely dry, it felt like noodles, it was so bad I couldn't even comb it. I tried a lot of treatments and although they worked a little it wasn't what I was looking for so I decided to cut it (I had shoulder lenght and ended with a pixie cut) but it was still damaged, and then I found this product so I decided to give it a try after reading the reviews and doing some research. WOW, I didn't have high expectations because I thought that my only solution was to shave my head, but this worked so good, I followed the directions carefully and after washing it out I could feel the difference, I was able to comb my hair again!!! It's still damaged but I knew that it would take more than one application. I'm now in the 5th week and I can't wait to use it again, even my husband felt the difference. I would definitely recommend this product, actually I tell all my friends about it. It does smells a little but it's not that bad. I'm really sensitive and some scents cause me migraines but this didn't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle Product So, I, like many of you, dyed and fried the life out of my hair. My hair was straw and stretchy. I found this product at Sally Beauty so I decided to try it. Step one is a bit smelly, but not bad. Make sure you apply it quickly because it turns into a honey-like substance. A don't have a salon overhead dryer so I used my hand dryer as best as I could. Once it's dried your hair will be very stiff. Don't move your hair once it's stiff! Then you hop in the shower and apply the conditioner. I was told to leave the conditioner in for 5 minutes and it turned out really nice. Use once every 6 weeks. My hair, though still damaged, feels noticeably better even 4 weeks later.

Is this good for natural hair?

I'm not sure what curl pattern I have (4a,4c). I have been natural for almost 3 years, but my hair seems to be lacking something, my sister in law went natural after I did and her hair is so soft, curly and shine oh and long, mines is brittle dull life less and short. I did dye my hair with the Creme of Nature a reddish blonde, my natural color hair is a mousy brown, after that I notice a lot of breakage. I was told to try Aphogee or some type of protein in my hair, I'm a little scaried that my hair will fall out or I want get the correct results ( more damage) oh and by the way I don't use heat in my hair can someone please help me direct me in the right direction. Thank you Peace and Love

Not sure if someone answered your question but yes! I'm natural(transitioning from heat damage :[ ) and I use it all the time. As long as you follow the directions EXAXTLY, you'll be fine. You CANNOT comb/brush/ manipulate the hair once the treatment is in, or your hair will break. I put it in in sections, and detangle as I go. Once it's started to dry just leave it, rinse, use the moisturizer it came with and deep condition if necessary!! Good luck on your journey :)

How often can we use this product?

Asked by: Stella
(On official site) ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment strengthens most hair approximately six weeks. In contrast, most other treatments and conditioners are removed with two or three washings. Because of this, the recommended frequency for ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment is once every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your hair maintenance regimen. If applied more often, it’s unlikely that any further benefit will be obtained.

Is this product the same as Colorful Nuetral Protien Filler?

I bleached my hair twice, in the last two months. The first time I died my hair pink, and purple, the semi-color didn't stay very well. Than I decided to go red, and used a permanent red dye, the dye washed out in a week, I decided to try another red and see if it stuck, no such luck. Now the red is washing out pretty quickly so I've decided to go back to my natural color which is very dark brown to black, but I want to make sure the dye I use will stay in my hair and evenly coat it. Please help.

When you lighten your hair you remove color pigment from it so there are small "potholes" so to speak which allow for any new pigment introduced to fall out more quickly. The best way to prevent this from happening is to wash your hair with cold water, use only sulfate free color safe shampoos and if you're wanting to go back to a dark color get a "filler" that reintroduces some of the pigments that you had naturally prior to lightening. This will help you hair seem healthier and ensure the color will last longer.
