  • Is mushy when wet and brittle after drying
  • Breaks when combed or brushed

  • Is over bleached

This unique treatment is formulated with magnesium and modified proteins which fuse into the hair with the application of heat. The result is that breakage is drastically reduced. During the process, ApHogee treatment hardens into the hair, dramatic evidence that something special is occurring. Restores lost moisture and hair becomes more manageable, flexible and strong. Breakage and split ends stop while hair looks and feels better.

2-Step Protein Treatment and Balanced Moisturizer is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I walked by this product in the hair supply store many times over the years. I've always had bad results with relaxers because my hair would come out from the roots and right before I went natural in 2009 my decision was based off the fact that I believed my hair was too weak for them. Little did I know all these years I needed protein. I've tried the egg and mayo which works but this product is awesome and . gave me great results when I used it for the first time just 2 days ago. I am purchasing the full bottles!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from life saver my black hair was brutally bleached 4 times to get out the hair dye to enable to achieve the grey hair look, top part and front part of my hair actually fried and feel so mushy and death when I wash my hair.... watch the review of this 2 step treatment so let's give it a try, it is amazing.... before using this I tried coconut oil on my fried hair it does help a little but compare with this treatment, it's magic. it gets less mushy and easy to handle and no more breakage while I dry my hair. a lot more soft and silky . Highly recommend to people that fry up their hair and get a quick easy fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing short of a miracle! Never seen anything repair such damaged hair before! The ends of my hair split, broken felt like corn silk and snapped in my fingers. After this treatment it's almost completely back to normal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4.8 but rounding up! Recently went level 2 to 7 in one process. Underrated to say my hair went through a lot and this was the first step to helping my hair back to normal. Step 1 was very messy to put on and smelled bad but nonetheless easy to distribute and blow dry to crunchiness per the instructions. Step 2 was pleasant and I leave it on for as my schedule allows. Ways down the road, it's been a miracle and continues to be along with my high maintenance routine I'd say it's back to 80% health which I'm content considering all the stress I've put it through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It really worked! I used this after bleaching and toning my hair twice in two days (bad I know, but I am impatient lol.) My hair of course had that mushy feeling when wet and was breaking off when dry. I was afraid to touch it or run my fingers through. I saw this had great reviews and I immediately went out and bought it and I'm so glad I did!! My hair doesn't feel mushy at all anymore and while there is still some breakage, it's not nearly as bad as before. I can easily run my fingers through my hair and it feels so soft again! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the smell. The first step smelled like dog urine, and the second smelled like old lady lol! But if it works that's a very minor thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It brought my hair back to life! No lie! I just did so much processing on my hair over the course of 2 days, through out each of these days I tried my HARDEST to get red hair dye out but it just wasn't budging! After 3 chemical lift attempts, my hair started feeling dry as ever. And let me tell you, I've bleached my hair to the point where it has MELTED OFF. My hair, especially my ends, were getting pretty close to that. I used the two step system and honestly my hair has been revived. It is so soft and shiny and not extremely frizzy at the ends as it usually would be. I love this product and I HIGHLY recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!!! I have hair extensions and after toning them they dried out and broke so much. I was in desperate need for help and after seeing all of the positive reviews for this I decided to give it a try. I used this with the Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer and it completely changed the feel of my hair! It is soft, the split ends are completely gone and my hair looks so healthy only after one use. I would definitely recommend this product! I only wish I took before and after photos to show the amazing change.

Is this good for natural hair?

I'm not sure what curl pattern I have (4a,4c). I have been natural for almost 3 years, but my hair seems to be lacking something, my sister in law went natural after I did and her hair is so soft, curly and shine oh and long, mines is brittle dull life less and short. I did dye my hair with the Creme of Nature a reddish blonde, my natural color hair is a mousy brown, after that I notice a lot of breakage. I was told to try Aphogee or some type of protein in my hair, I'm a little scaried that my hair will fall out or I want get the correct results ( more damage) oh and by the way I don't use heat in my hair can someone please help me direct me in the right direction. Thank you Peace and Love

If your hair did not respond to the this Treatment you should try seeing what Porosity Hair AND hair type you have. Once you find out what porosity hair and hair type you have SEARCH FOR PRODUCTS AND REVIEWS BASED ON YOUR RESULTS because there are certain products for low, medium and or high porosity hair ALONG with your hair type which could be 4A, 4B or 4C. If you have low porosity hair you would stay away from protein treatments and use daily conditioners with humectants such as glycerin or honey. As for hair type 4b; a lot of moisture, gentle cleansers and frequent deep conditioning will be helpful for NATURALS with 4b hair. If you have a perm or relaxer you can do the same except I would recommend using shampoo and conditions for relaxed hair but you can still use natural hair products just do your research and reviews first. EVERYTHING IS A HIT OR MISS OR ELSE WE'D ALL HAVE PERFECT HAIR so be prepared to buy products that MAY NOT WORK.

How long after dying my hair should I wait to use this treatment? I am not using bleach just brown permanent dye.

Asked by: Alexisgm
If you just dyed your hair, I would wait a couple of weeks before using the protein treatment, even if it is just brown dye. From what I've read online and heard from my hairdressers, you need to be very careful when using protein treatments because they can easily damage your hair if it is under too much stress.

How often can we use this product?

Asked by: Anonymous
(On official site) ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment strengthens most hair approximately six weeks. In contrast, most other treatments and conditioners are removed with two or three washings. Because of this, the recommended frequency for ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment is once every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your hair maintenance regimen. If applied more often, it’s unlikely that any further benefit will be obtained.

Is this product the same as Colorful Nuetral Protien Filler?

I bleached my hair twice, in the last two months. The first time I died my hair pink, and purple, the semi-color didn't stay very well. Than I decided to go red, and used a permanent red dye, the dye washed out in a week, I decided to try another red and see if it stuck, no such luck. Now the red is washing out pretty quickly so I've decided to go back to my natural color which is very dark brown to black, but I want to make sure the dye I use will stay in my hair and evenly coat it. Please help.

When you lighten your hair you remove color pigment from it so there are small "potholes" so to speak which allow for any new pigment introduced to fall out more quickly. The best way to prevent this from happening is to wash your hair with cold water, use only sulfate free color safe shampoos and if you're wanting to go back to a dark color get a "filler" that reintroduces some of the pigments that you had naturally prior to lightening. This will help you hair seem healthier and ensure the color will last longer.

Is this good for heat damage?

Asked by: kdix_086

I used henna on my hair about 2 months ago, will using Aphogee react badly with the Henna since henna stays in your hair shaft and doesn't lift like hair color? My shoulder-length hair is very fine textured, thin, curly with porous ends and fairly dry.
