Tool Science Electric Ceramic Brush Iron 1-1/2 Inch is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mediocre at best! I was excited to try this tool after reading reviews. i was hoping to have found something that would help make straightening my hair easier. i'm not quite sure how effective this is as i only used it a few times. I'm black with slightly coarse natural hair (no relaxers/dye). i feel like this product made my hair frizzy opposed to straight. it does add a bump if you rotate it over and over again , but didn't really straighten my hair. i like the size curl/bump it creates, but i will have to use a flat iron/hot comb to straighten my hair then use this to add a bump. it might work well straightening hair extensions. i haven't tried it on extensions, but will. Overall, its OK because the price is super reasonable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for styling! I recently went from long hair to a shoulder length bob. I bought this since I knew my blow out skills with a round brush were lacking. I still like to use the round brush initially but then the hot brush for more bend at the ends. It works like a champ. Since I have fine hair I was happy with the heat setting not being too hot so it doesn't damage my hair. Works great for touch ups to give my hair a lift. Gives my hair that smooth silky look without damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hair styling tool! I love using this curling brush! I have very fine hair. When I used a typical hot air blower brush, I didn't get the style I hoped for. It left my hair too limp. This styling tool puts the curl in where I want it & it holds. I love using this to style my hair!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for me I have shoulder length hair, it worked good on my extensions giving my hair a bump but not my real hair

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good enough I bought it because it doesn't blow hot air and I like when I style my hair, that it has built in bristles. I wish it had a little more heat, only heats to 380 but I still got the results I wanted. I'm sure my hair won't get as damages as with other hot air brushes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected - Pleasantly Surprised I was sooo..... impressed with this product and cannot believe how it picks the roots and smooths them out. Would be great if Tool Science makes a slimmer one. 3/4" for nape and edges. I am Black. Went natural and have had very curly hair for a year, so I blow out first with hairdryer then use my brush. Grrrreat! Love it.

Can it b used on wet hair?

Asked by: Debi2235
I think it depends on a few things. 1) How thick is hair? 2) Is hair wet or damp? I think from my use it works if hair is a little wet or just damp, but if you have thick hair, the wetter it is the harder it will be. I have very, very fine straight hair though.

What do the two settings mean?

The two settings are indicated by a red light and a green light. When I use the setting indicated by the green light, I hear a clicking sound. What is the difference between the two settings? Is one hotter than the other?
Asked by: sk
Red is just heat and green is heat and Ion.

How do you clean the brush once it becomes dirty?

Asked by: CurlWave
Hello and thank you for your question! Since the Tool Science Electric Ceramic Brush Iron is an electrical item, you should use the same liquid that you use on any other styling tool surface. We offer Hot Tools Professional Styling Iron Cleaner (sku 510028). Although this styling tool has bristle and maybe harder to clean, this model doesn’t have a lot of bristles, so it shouldn’t pose a problem.
