The Helen of Troy Ceramic Flat Iron's ceramic plates eliminate damaging hot spots and also radiates infrared heat that penetrates the hair shaft, preserving hair's natural moisture and luster. Ceramic when introduced with heat kills bacteria and helps hair remain healthy. Each plate has a separate heating system which means the plates maintain their temperature better as you style. The Helen of Troy Ceramic Flat Iron with Infrared Heat creates smooth straight styles without frizz and fly-aways. Maintains constant, even heat, from low to extra-hot, while you style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great and lasted 4 years! I got this flat iron 4 years ago and used it at least 4 times a week. My hair is very thick and only responds to high heat, and this straightener did the job! I got with the hair dryer bundle, and the hair dryer is still going strong! Just last week, the top plate of the straightener stopped getting hot, but this is after 4 years and being dropped several times! I am heading to my local Sally's today to pick up a new one =)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I just got this flat iron for free with the purchase of a hair dryer and I hate them both. The dryer isn't too bad but I wouldn't recommend it. The straightener wouldn't even straighten my hair. I am returning it and would not recommend either product to anyone. I knew some thing was weird when I paid $40 for both products. That explains a lot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helen of Troy ceramic flat iron I received the flat iron for my granddaughter as a bonus item for the purchase of a Helen of Troy ceramic hair dryer. Both items are good quality and operate just as they should, the special features are a real bonus. They are an attractive black finish and do the job they were purchased to do. I am very pleased with this purchase and will recommend to anyone that may have the need of a flat iron.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst Flat Iron I've Owned I bought this thinking it would be better than my Revlon flat iron. Wow was I wrong. I hate this flat iron. I got it free for buying the hairdryer and its junk. My hair is naturally straight with a slight wave and it won't even straighten it. Worthless do not buy!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent for the price I bought this flat iron maybe 7-8 months ago and use it almost daily. More so when its about time to get another relaxer. Usually the other flat irons I have got in this price range start chipping or the ceramic coating starts to fade or dull, the heat setting doesn't work the same BUT... I have yet to experience that with this one. I like the different settings and I think it gets hot enough to straighten coarse unruly hair. And it's heat up time is decent, it isn't the fastest but doesn't take forever either. I do find that I have to sometimes go over my hair a couple times to get it really straight but I don't wear my hair straight often. The curls I achieve with this are nice but they won't last all day without some type of holding spray. So this purchase isn't a disappointment but it isn't 5 stars either. Oh I forgot to mention this flat iron does nothing to prevent damage you will need to have the correct styling products for your hair to protect it from heat damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I've ever owned I am mixed so my hair is thick and wild like a lion, but have a good grade. I got this FOR FREE ;) when I bought my Helen of Troy blowdryer. BOY IS THIS THE BEST EVER (i have several)!!! AND TO THINK THAT IT WAS FREE!! My mom came down and had washed her hair and needed a flat iron. She called back a few days later after she left and asked what kind of flat iron had she used. She actually went to Sally's last night and called me when she got in there to read off to her which one i had. And her hair isnt as good as mine.....SIGH* LOVE MY FLAT IRON!!! BOMB!! Get one and try it, u can always return it. I keep mine at 400 degrees.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from what a mistake i bought this thinking hey it looks like my well working GVP straightener but boy was i wrong it takes a long time to heat up and when it does it isn't even hot so it defiantly doesnt straighten my hair and i dont even have thick hair it normal and wavy plus it pulls my hair out, bottom line i would defiantly not recommend this to anyone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointed I got this only because of the in-store offer where you got it free if you purchased the hair dryer - and I was there shopping for both. I asked the sales associate about it and she said she's never heard any complaints. I got it home and tried it out. I have super curly, coarse hair which is very hard to straighten, so I need high heat. This seemed to work at times - but it seems like it doesn't stay hot the whole time I'm using it - at times it's as hot as I like it to be, but then at times it cools to warm and it takes multiple attempts to straighten anything. I'm considering returning it today to get something that I like better.
