CHI Elite Styling Tips:

Straighten: Turn on your CHI Elite iron to appropriate heat setting for your hair type. A higher heat setting for thicker, coarse hair and a lower setting for thinner hair. Place your CHI Elite iron at the root of your hair, closing it lightly. Glide the iron from slowly from roots to ends. Grab the next section and repeat.

Flip: Turn on your CHI Elite iron to appropriate heat setting for your hair type. A higher heat setting for thicker, coarse hair and a lower setting for thinner hair. Place your CHI Elite iron at mid-shaft and slowly rotate iron away from your body. repeat for remaining sections. Comb or brush gently to blend sections together.

Curl: Turn on your CHI Elite iron to appropriate heat setting for your hair type. A higher heat setting for thicker, coarse hair and a lower setting for thinner hair. The size of hair sections determines the tightness of the curl. For loose curls use larger sections and for tighter curls use smaller sections. Place the iron at the root of your hair, lightly close, pull slightly. Rotate the iron away from you 180 degrees. Continue to pull the iron until you have reached the end of your sectioned hair. The slower you pull, the better the result. Repeat for all remaining sections. For looser curls, gently brush through for a beach wave look. Start at the root and brush backwards

Rated 5 out of 5 by CHI ELITE SHIMMER BLACK FLAT IRON I got a CHI Elite flat iron a few weeks ago for my daughter and overall she has been very pleased with it. She has thick hair that is naturally wavy, and this iron really worked. It completely straightened her hair and appears to help keep it shiny and healthy-looking. Not sure if this is the best iron or not available however for the price in compared to some others we saw on the Sally site it's been a great value so far. May 19, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Glad to be back using a Chi Flat Iron! My very first flat iron, purchased back around 2003 or 2004, was the original Chi. It was heavy compared to today's flat irons, but it was the first styling tool that not only straightened my naturally curly hair but kept it straight! It was the best thing since the blowdryer from the 1970's! I used that Chi flat iron just about every day for 4 years or more with NO problems, until one day I accidentally dropped it and broke one of the heating panels. I got online to find a replacement and found another brand that supposedly was even better than a Chi, but it broke (on its own--it would turn off right in the middle of doing my hair, repeatedly) within a year of purchase! The company honored their 1-year warranty and sent me a new one, but even though I didn't even use it every day, it too quit working in less than a year! But this time, the manufacturer would not send me another one. Then I got an email that Sally's was selling Chi flat irons, much like my first one, but MUCH lighter! I did not hesitate to purchase it. OMG--the very first time I used it last week I remembered how wonderful my first Chi was as far as straightening my hair! Only this one is better because it is so much lighter! AND it has a temperature control, which my first Chi did not. I am hoping that Chi still has the product quality in this styling tool as my first Chi flat iron, so that I can look forward to many years of great-looking hair without having to worry about it breaking every year like the last brand I used! Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product Great product once I received it almost a month later. I was first shipped someone else's order, then mine took another almost 2 weeks to get to me. I put off buying a straightener, for a long time, to avoid issues but still had them. Overall love the product, does the job that I wanted done. Creates perfectly straight hair in no time at all and no effort required! Don't waste your money on cheap straighteners, your hair won't stay straight for long and it won't actually straighten your hair. Get a Chi and you won't regret it! August 25, 2014
