As I Am Coconut CoWash is the way to cleanse your hair most of the time. This light no-suds conditioning cream gently spreads easily throughout your hair and removes residue including all of the things you've used to style and maintain your coils and curls.
Coconut Cowash is different from any other because it contains a special blend of natural ingredients that work to promote healthy hair growth from the follicular level. Maintains moisture, adds more moisture and helps hair retain moisture until your next cleanse.
Makes detangling a breeze and rinses easily from hair. Gentle enough for daily use and is safe for color-treated hair.
Wet hair thoroughly. Rub a liberal amount of As I Am Coconut CoWash within palms and distribute throughout hair. Work product through hair and massage scalp with fingertips as you would a conventional shampoo. Carefully detangle hair with a wide-tooth comb. Rinse well.
Repeat only if necessary to remove excessive product build up or for further scalp cleansing.
Follow with conditioning. Use either As I Am Hydration Elation Intensive Conditioning Treatment or As I Am Leave-In Conditioner. Use as needed on an intermittent basis with Cleansing Pudding+ Sulfate-free Moisturizing Cleans.

Love this stuff I love it. It left my hair clean but not stripped like shampoos. Smells great too. (4a\c natural) February 9, 2015
best stuff ever My friend recommended this product to me I have thick coarse hair and after a bad highlight job it started to break off. This stuff is amazing my hair is soft shiny and manageable. I use this twice a week so it has last a very long time. I have recommended to my family and friends this is best product I ever used will not go back to anything else. December 9, 2014
Perfect for all types of hair! For the record, I have medium thickness, fine blonde hair. I was skeptical about CoWashing because my hair can get very greasy very quickly. This product changed everything for me! My hair is always soft, beautiful, and bouncy and I get compliments everywhere I go. Most importantly, this product gets the oil out of my hair (it can even get coconut oil out when used as a treatment), and has actually kept my hair from getting as greasy as it used to. I turned my friend, who has thick, dark curly hair, onto this product and she raves about it too. I'm in love! November 12, 2014
Cannot Believe How Clean and Soft My Hair Is I have been a fan of cleansing conditioner for about a year. Since I banned all sulfates from my scalp, I got into alternatives for cleaning my hair less harshly. With many of them, they did an OK job. I don't flat iron my hair as much anymore so I don't need it to be SQUEAKY clean. This stuff manages to not only detangle and soften my hair but get it immaculately clean just for being a co-wash. On top of that, it smells AMAZING and I cannot keep my boyfriend from touching or smelling my hair. I'm transitioning, so I use this every other day with shea butter to enhance my growing curls and blend my relaxed ends in with ease. This co-wash has even improved my heat damaged, relaxed hair by tenfold. I'm on love and will continue to buy this like, forever. Awesome job As I Am. September 19, 2014

A:Sulfate free products are needed for natural hair because the salt component of a hair product will strip the kinky/curly/coily strands of any natural oils and moisture. Sebum of natural hair has a hard time making its way from the scalp to the tips of the hair because of the many bends so holding on to as much moisture as possible when being washed and handled.
A:Sulfates are harsh chemicals that can strip your natural hair of color, moisture and natural oils. This can result in breakage, dryness and tangles. Sulfate free products tend to leave your hair feeling clean and well moisturized.
