It really does work
I mix manic panic colors to refresh my red violet hair and i use this. I put this in and wait 5 min and the water runs clear.

I have long (to my bra strap), naturally curly, thick hair. So my hair is naturally on the dry side. I color my hair with two bottles of 6WR every 6 to 8 weeks. Typically when I color my hair it takes it a while to recover. I purchased this product on a whim hoping that it would condition my hair after the color job. I was AMAZED! My hair was so conditioned, soft, detangled, and felt luxurious after I followed the directions of washing the color out. I just washed my hair for the first time since then and not one speck of tint or color in the shampoo or water! Will definitely use this product again and I highly recommend it to anyone who colors their hair.

Use for softness
I got this bottle a while ago when I bought 2 or more ION products so of course I had to try it. After using ION blonde for my roots I use a deep conditioner for at least 3 days and I use this After Color Lock on the first day. I use about a quarter-size amount of this cream on my head and leave it for a couple minutes. I don't notice anything about preventing fading since blonde shades don't bleed like browns/reds/black shades do. As far as moisture goes this doesn't do that on my hair so I always pair this with ION Intense Moisture conditioners. This does however, help prevent that straw-feeling in your hair. This makes hair touchable and soft feeling. The smell isn't my favorite since it smells like fake apples and chemicals. It doesn't smell at all like the other ION products so they don't match up. Overall this works great only when paired with conditioners but does little on it's own.
