Is this okay to use when bleaching

Asked by: Shyshy1218
Absolutely.  You especially want to use this if you're going to be toning or coloring so the color will distribute equally.

So sorry I had just posted a question asking if it would be okay to use the protein filler over my hair I had just dyed, what I meant to say a medium shade of green, not mess green. Because Who would want to dye their hair a color called mess green?

Asked by: Missy062477
The directions read: When tinting, (I was), 1. Apply contents to towel damp hair for 20 minutea.. 2 Blot excess from hair, DO NOT RINSE.. Apply color as usual. I did d this and my hair was dry an brittle, but turned out perfectly! I've seen "Tips" that say to add 1/2 water, 1/2 solution to it, or even add it to the color itself, but my "tip" is, "Why mess with perfection?". There are different directions if you''re just dying your roots but they aren't much different than the original instructions. When in doubt, do what they tell you to do, right? :-)

How many of these would I need for thick shoulder length hair?

Asked by: KimmiT26
When adding it to your color mixture 1 bottle is  enough it's a watery consistency and you only need I believe 2 ounces to add to your mixture.    But I order 2 bottles keep it in my frig till I need it because occasionally I use it just for conditioner.

I ACCESS A SALON FOR MY HAIR COLORING ONCE A MONTH/AFTER 3 DAYS OR SO I SHAMPOO MY HAIR, CAN I USE THE FILLER WITHOUT COLORING ??? (since i already had it done & can i use filler every other shampoo???

Asked by: Connieluv
I'm sorry, I am not a beautician so could not answer adequately. However, I'll tell you that I used this product and found absolutely no benefit from it. The ones that truly helped were a two-step system to be used WITH coloring. Those make your hair very, very soft and shinny.

If you mix this into the dye is there a ratio needed? And would the dye then be applied to dry hair or still to damp hair?

Asked by: KitKat88
To get the best results, you should really just follow the directions and apply the filler directly to your dampened hair. You can then towel dry it and apply your color. I went from red to black recently, and it worked great... Especially since the last 3-4 inches of my hair had previously been stripped/lightened. Hope this helps.

I was a pro stylist and am now needing to work with filler for bleached hair.Does filler need peroxide to work or alone how long?

Asked by: Floreane
I have blonde lightened hair n use this once a month with my conditioner n w/ my color.  When I color I mix it w/ the color but u can comb it into damp hair n let sit fr 20 min .  It works great as a rinse just mix half 4 oz bottle w/ 1 oz water n comb through.  Has guidelines on th bottle.  My natural hair is blond n curly n this smooths it out without straightening.

I just got my hair highlighted, but the ends of the blonde hair turned a little gray, possibly from leaving the toner on for too long. Can I use the protein filler even after my hair has been colored to take after way he gray tone to the ends of my hair?

Asked by: Simivalley18
Protein filler should be used BEFORE the toner...to prevent uneven coloring....different color at the end of the hair shaft indicates too much porosity in the ends..... suggest that you either "trim" off the grey ends....or rebleach the ends to remove the grey....then use the protein filler before you retone the hair.....and PLEASE follow all of the directions!!!!

I applied neutral protein filler and was going to dye my hair but I fell asleep, is the protein filler still effective after it's dried

Asked by: Lorna Fleckenstein
I think it should be as it's now absorbed into your hair. If you're not comfortable with that, then just re-apply it.
