Does the job! I was hesistant to use this brand, since the one review wasn't that great, but it was on sale, so I thought, ok, if it doesn't work THEN I'll get something else. First of all, it works GREAT! I used it in combination with Loreal blue powder lightener and it took my drugstore inky black and hot pink hair to pale yellow in minutes. (however, do NOT let your husband help with the bleach application if he doesn't understand the importance of bleaching each strand completely AND setting a timer) The front half of my head I did myself and acheived a perfect pale almost white shade within 35 mins. SO DEFINITELY recommend and watch your hair closely, as it can change pretty fast! February 10, 2013
works great!!!! I got the wella color charm cream developer in 40 volume to use with the blue powdered bleach I was using to take my hair from inky black with hot pink highlights to blonde. This stuff worked AMAZINGLY well in combo with the powdered bleach.First I mixed it with a little bleach powder and shampoo to make a soap cap to remove the pink and VOILA! It was gone in seconds! I was amazed! Then I used it to bleach my hair all over(save for the already bleached areas that used to be pink) and it came out really well. Most of my hair was platinum blonde, and the remaining areas were a light custard yellow and easily removed with a second round of bleaching. Great stuff! Def get the 40 vol if you have dark hair like mine was and is naturally. February 4, 2013
Not Meeting Expectations I have brown hair peppered with white and wanted to put thin white streaks in it, so bought this along with the bleech, toner and toner developer (10 vol.) to achieve "white streaks". After following directions exactly ended up with warm light blond streaks. - which does look excellent but was not what was the intent. DEFINATELY not light enough. January 25, 2013
