Disappointed This product was very hard to work with. It didn't mix well and it was very runny so I had to mix it with conditioner. But the worse part was the smell I worked with many hair dying/bleaching products before and this was the worse. Before using this product my hair was mostly light brown with dark brown roots. But now my hair is a brassy golden blonde with light brown roots. I left it on my hair for a long time, even reapplied it and it really didn't do much. I'm disappointed. March 7, 2014
Good value Short story: Great value, cost onlyy $6.99+tax with my Sally Beauty card. Long Story: I dyed my hair black from red with Clairol Nice N Easy(not what I usually did, but I needed a change late at night) and 2 months later, my manager at work told me that since I am so pale(porcelain skin) it looked unnatural. I liked it, but I got where she was coming from. I decided if I changed my hair it had to be an extreme change and felt the need to go to a level 10 blonde. I started with trying to use a blonde dye and then it didn't work. My roots were BRIGHT yellow-blonde and the rest was still level 1 blue-black. I then went to my local Sally store and asked the woman inside what I should do. I got a color stripper and used that to bring my hair to a level 5. After that, I started using this to bring it down. I'm currently at a level 7 with a lot of brass, which works for me because I need gold/red undertones. I've used it once with half the amount since I have thin fine hair and knew I didn't need a full bottle of the stuff at a time to saturate my hair. So far I've had a lot of compliments, my roots are still lighter by about 2 levels. They're about a level 9, not quite a 10. I also used an ion deep conditioning treatment, along with at home coconut oil treatments, my hair has next to no split ends, but I also take VERY good care of my hair, I maybe straighten my hair once a month if that, when I curl it, I do not use heat, and I only wash every other day, with frequent deep conditioners. Really Lighten If you really want to lighten your hair use this one! I use it with 2 of the step up powders that come in the box. I like to use the bottle to apple the bleach so I'd much rather use the cream bleach than powder. I was sad when Wella quit making the cream bleach but was happy Ion is doing such a good job of making it. May 13, 2013
Pretty good lightener, but stinky This is an overall pretty good lightener, but it stinks really bad, reminds me of cough syrup or something medical, not that all lighteners smell awesome, but the smell is pretty strong. For the lightening part, it was pretty awesome, very conditioning and turned my dyed dark blonde hair white blonde. March 13, 2013
