Rated 4 out of 5 by Go Blonde the Healthy Way This Product does a good job, especially if you have a faded auburn/copper hair color or a lighter brown. It does not damage your hair as much as other dyes. It does smell somewhat bad but after bleaching it twice with this( Let your hair breathe for a while and deep condition) you get used to the smell. Didn't give me split ends with first application (I had Healthy hair and saw split ends after re-bleaching a bit more than a week later with the argan oil lightener. But alternating your hair structure is always damaging) I have a pixie so two packets of this was too much for my hair but one isn't enough. If you have longer hair I recommend getting the bigger bottle. August 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good product i was looking for another bleach to,use that had some type of oil base, the one I normally use was discontinued, so this was recommended by one of the sales girl, so I used it with 30 vol cream developer, manage to maintain my platinum hair, I would recommend it this product I found it to be easy to use and not so damaging. Again 30 vol gives me what I'm looking for with this product.... July 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this! I have been using this product for almost 3 years. I dye my hair purple and use this to bleach my brown hair first to make the purple really pop. I find it really easy to use with the developer. I think it mixes beautifully and is easy to apply. It works really quickly and consistently and I like not needing to apply heat to get the lift I want. My favorite thing is how gentle and conditioning it is. Considering I bleach then dye my hair every five weeks or so, I really need something that won't fry and strip my hair. This product is perfect and helps me keep my hair healthy and shiny. Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed This product was very hard to work with. It didn't mix well and it was very runny so I had to mix it with conditioner. But the worse part was the smell I worked with many hair dying/bleaching products before and this was the worse. Before using this product my hair was mostly light brown with dark brown roots. But now my hair is a brassy golden blonde with light brown roots. I left it on my hair for a long time, even reapplied it and it really didn't do much. I'm disappointed. March 7, 2014

The directions On either the kit, or the Purpler bottle of Ion after color I use say to lightly shampoo after bleaching, and then to use the after color. You could also use a conditioner or anything else, but I suggest Ion's after color because it specifically states it will remove the chemicals and stop the bleaching process.
