SheaMoisture Curling Gel Souffle promotes curls with shea butter and coconut oil. Shea Moisture's Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Soufflé for thick, curly hair hydrates and defines curls with a soft, smooth after-feel.
Coconut and Flax Seed Oils nourish and hydrate, while sealing the hair shaft to protect against external pollutants. The original natural humectant complex of Agave Nectar, Coconut Oil, Glycerin and Shea Butter promotes moisture retention, conditions hair and boosts shine without frizz.
After conditioning, apply gel sparingly through clean wet or damp hair. Use on wet hair will result in riotous curls. On damp hair expect looser, wavy curls. Comb through with fingers to shape curls and style as desired, allowing time to dry. For best results when using a blow dryer, choose a cool or warm setting. May also be used on dry hair to minimize fly-always and frizz; place a small amount into palms and rub hands together. Gently smooth over dry hair to tame frizz.

Almost perfect This is almost as nice as I expected it to be but for me "a little" does not "go a long way". I need to use a LOT of this product to feel like it's giving my hair weight and definition. I have 3b (some 3c) curls that are coarse, and have low porosity. The hair on the top of my head grows up straight, so it especially needs weight to have any kind of shape and style. This "souffle" has the texture that is similar to Jello, and it can melt to a liquid pretty quickly here in Phoenix. I love the definition and curl formation this gel helps create, but when it's completely dry, it's not able to control dry heat induced frizz. I really like that I can apply this to dry hair, unlike so many other gels. One thing I noticed for my hair is that, also unlike other gels, this one works best if I don't have a leave-in conditioner underneath it. It does allow my hair to be bouncy, and it does not crunch or flake. August 12, 2014
Really depends on hair type I agree with others who have said that a little goes a long way with this product so while it is somewhat pricey it will last you a LONG time. I have 3a/b, fine hair. And while this product does provide good hold and definition, my complaint is that it leaves a greesy residue in my hair and builds up regardless of how little I use. I love the way it makes my curls look but if I touch my hair my hand is oily. This could be because my hair is so fine, so if you have courser hair this may not be an issue for you but I find myself not using this product despite the good definition because of it. Another Amazing Shea Moisture Product I bought this as a trial (and because I am a product junkie) to see if this would work well for my transitioning hair. I used it the morning after conditioning my hair with the shea moisture transiton kit and it worked wonders! It kept my hair in place and kept the fly aways, and frizz, to a minimal all day! My hair was smooth to the touch and, I am happy to say, a little goes long way. Once used on wet hair it will hold all day. I definitely recommend August 25, 2013
Worked Great! I have very long, thick, wavy/curly hair (2b/3a). I applied this product with my head upside down and soaking wet hair (DevaCurl style), and it worked really well to define and give shape to my curls without making them look "crunchy." I read some warnings not too apply too much, but I scrunched a few quarter-sized dollops into my wet hair, and I think i could have gotten away with using a couple more. My hair is also pretty dry, so my guess is that the product helped to moisturize my hair. I think I'm hooked it!!! August 21, 2013
