Design Essentials Natural Curl Stretching Cream
Great for 4b thick hair
I have natural hair and this is a curl stretching cream. It works well for my braid and twist outs and gives me some moisture. I usually rebraid my hair every 2-3 days and I never experience product buildup. I slightly spritz with water and aloe vera juice followed my this product sealed with coconut or jojoba oil. My hair loves this stuff. Yes is it pricey but a little goes a long way. This also works well for my daughter who has mainly 4a curls.
Product combinations can have a huge effect on how well a product works on your hair so here is my regime.
1. Palmers Olive Oil Condioner-PrePoo
2. Shea Moisture Moisture Retention Shampoo
3. Dr Miracles deep conditioner
3. Aphogee 2 minute reconstructive conditioner
4. As I Am Leave in (in search for something new, I don't really like it#
5. Shea Moisture Heat protectant #to blow dry my hair) I uaually leave hair 20% damp for braidout
6. curl stretch cream

Not Even If It Were Free
Not only did it not provide any moisture relief for my 4b/c hair, this crème left my hair feeling like I applied it, then stepped right in the middle of a wildflower field during pollen season. Tacky!!! It went back of course (for that kind of money).

I thought you should get what you pay for??
This product did NOT do what it says. I specifically bought this product to lengthen my curls. My coils shrink so much and I asked the salesman for something to make them longer. He shows me this product and I'm instantly taken back by the price!!!! $30?? I was hesitant and he told me that with my discount card and the monthly sale, it would be cheaper and that I could bring it back if it didn't work. I got home, used it, let my hair dry and..... it's like I didn't even put it on there. My curls were the exact same length as always but now, my hair felt heavy!! Needless to say, I'm taking this back. My hair smelled good and wasn't greasy but it just flat out didn't do what it said it would and for $30, that's the LEAST it should do!

...that at this high price, this stuff couldn't be anything but great. Wrong! I purchased this for my 2 y/o baby girl's 4a-b natural hair. I was hoping for a high shine and moisture factor. I did not get either. This product is rich, thick and creamy, but leave a "sticky" film on hair. (I tried using it in a moderate amount as well as sparingly-- same stickiness). Slight shine(not long lasting, tho') and hair still feels dry/unmoisturized.
I returned product for something different. Oh well-- maybe it will work on someone else's hair better.
