Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product The color took very well to my dark brown hair. The intense red exceeded my expectation6. My hair was left so soft and shiny. And by the way my hair is long therefore allowing me to constantly bringi a bunch of it to my nose to smell because the product has left a beautiful scent to my hair. I am not of Asian or European descent. I would highly recommend this product to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creme of Nature Intensive Red haircolor i used the intensive red haircolor from creme of nature's haircolor line and i have to say that i was very impressed- very pleased. after countless hours and comparisons of other so-called red haircolors while at the same time not finding the look/color i was looking for, i finally decided to try creme of nature's intensive red color. at first i was skeptical- i had never used anything from the creme of nature haircare line before, other than being familiar with the brand and its products mostly from my mother, who used to use their no-lye relaxer kits when i was a child. now as an adult, i was looking to try something different- something new. i had previously tried to dye my hair red 3 years by using the textures and tones haircolor line from clairol, flaming desire. BIG MISTAKE!!! that haircolor, instead of turning my hair a nice red, instead turned it bright orange- as in joker from the dark knight via heath ledger orange- SERIOUSLY! (0 0) i was not happy.... i dyed my head back to black QUICK. however, i then tried to lighten my hair and try another color: textures and tones blazing burgundy. the color didnt take and i returned it. even worse, i overprocessed my hair by mistake via bleaching it and it was coming out in clumps!!! (0 0) (this was 2 years ago). i had to shave off all my hair and let it grow back. ( i know i sound stupid- im a rookie; didnt know it at the time- now i know- you live and you learn, people!) = reason why i wanna go to cosmetology school so this DOESNT happen again. anyway, after letting my hair grow back and determining what i did wrong, i finally decided to try to lighten my hair again but this time take extra precaution and dont KILL my hair again! so i picked up some 7th stage lightener and its accompanying packets from sally then went on a hunt-and-search party to find the perfect red haircolor. after searching the web, it came down to these choices: dark and lovelys spicy red, vivacious red, red hot rhytmn, textures and tones cherrywood or blazing burgundy or creme of natures intensive red. i had used softsheencarsons hi rez haircolor in scarlet splash hoping it would give me the bright red color ive been dying to have but with no success- i saw no change in haircolor really- only slightly- it wasnt bright red like the box described- more burgundy than anything and not the red that i wanted- despite it saying that it was good for dark hair ( im a very lightskinned black female w/ VERY resistant probably jet black, black hair that only responds to black haircolor- anything else it wont even change color- not even brown) so i thought this would have been great for me and others who have dark hair and want a different haircolor but dont want to lighten their hair in order to get their desired color. (- -) unfortunately, i have to lighten my hair in order to get the colors i want. oh well.. anyway, after lightening my hair via 7th stage lightly (only up to an orange/sandy brown combination), i then put some coconut oil on my hair to reduce the damage and help protect my hair before coloring it. TIP: coconut oil is VERY helpful and good for your hair- there are many websites/information backing up these claims- i for one know its true. after saturating my hair w/ coconut oil and honey and throwing on a shower cap and sleeping with the mixture overnight (it works best this way, though you can do it for only a few hours if in a rush). TIP: mix coconut oil and honey together in a bowl until you get either an oily or paste like texture. i didnt heat the coconut oil when i used it w/honey so mines came out pastelike, but feel free to do what works for you- my preference was paste- less messy and the mixture stayed mostly in the cap w/occasional leakage due to moving at night in the bed and was easy to wash out the next morning. after a few days passed, i finally applied the intensive red haircolor to my hair ( i bought 2 boxes to make sure it covered my hair- but, again, do what works best for you). after letting it process and rinsing it out, i used shea moistures extra moisture shampoo/conditioner to rinse out any excess color that was not needed and then applied john freidas color glaze to help lock in the color and give my hair shine. after rinsing that all out and letting my hair airdry, i then checked the results of me coloring my hair. OMG- it was red! i had added some red hot intensifier from ion via sally purchase to deepen the color just in case it came out too bright to my liking and i have to say, it looked amazing! (^ ^) for the first time- and FINALLY!!!! (i felt like screaming w/ joy over my success finally in finding the perfect red haircolor for me) this intensive red is truly, truly a TRUE RED- most others either arent a true red (aka are too dark- like black) or have more of an orange tone to them (via spicy red, vivacious red, red hot rhytmn- i ws looking at pics from other women who had used these colors and i have to say i wasnt happy with the end results- too orangey! (nightmare flashbacks)... anyway, bottom line is this: intensive red WORKS. i loved it- 200 stars (^ ^)

will it wash out after a while?

As with any hair colour, it will fade a bit with each washing. Also to consider, the type of shampoo affects the length of vibrant hair colour, colour safe/sulfate free extends the life of dyed hair.

I used intense red for the first time and my hair is brittle and not red it looks orange what can I do

Hello, and thank you for your question. To correct what has already been done, you may deposit a semi-permanent color to your hair to add darker color such as darker red or any tones which are darker than your current hair color. Keep in mind that any color you put in your hair will make it darker. As for dryness, you may deep condition the hair once a week to add moisture and shine back to the hair. We would recommend the Creme of Nature Argan Intensive Conditioning Treatment (105202) for this.

What will happen if I dye already dyed but faded red hair?

I have dyed intense red hair from garnier, but it's pretty faded right now. What will happen if I put this intense red into my faded dyed red hair? My hair is naturally caucasian dark brown hair

Hello and thank you for your question! If you use the 7.6 Intense Red Crème of Nature on your hair that has been previously colored, you will more than likely damaged your hair due to double process. It will deposit the color, but deeper tone than the intensive red. If you want to add some depth to the color, you may try using the color as a soap cap to tone. This will add color to your faded dyed red hair. If you opt for this, mix the color as normal then add a bit shampoo to mix together. Proceed to apply it on hair, process 5 to 15 minutes depends on the amount of color you desire then wash hair. You may want to experiment with just a small section to see the result. Please note: soap cap is only to be used on hair that has been previously colored not for touch-up new growth.

Dying dark hair

I am Caucasian but I have dark brown hair, almost what you would consider black and I have a hard time dying it lighter without damaging it. Is this something that would be beneficial without getting that gummy feeling to my hair after dying it or having it break off when straitening it with a flat iron?
