Totally works I use this product underneath the SS Instant Artificials. I was a severe nail biter since childhood and finally broke the habit by wearing acrylic nails for a number of years. When I finally removed the acrylics, my nails were severely weak. I was searching online and found lots of people recommending these products so I figured I would give it a try. I love the results!! I actually have long nails now that have a good amount of strength. I highly recommend using Fiberglass Network underneath at least the Instant Artificials, and maybe even another color. Best hardener I've used!!! My nails have have been short a brittle. I have so many strengtheners and thickeners and this is the only one that needs to be replaced because I use it so frequently. My nails still break but they are actually hard so they don't break or chip as often and my polish lasts usually up to 5-7 days when applied on top of the fiberglass wrap! I would wear it alone just to keep my nails strong but it is white and does not look good when it is on without a polish over it. August 7, 2012
great nail protector I'm a nurse & was very frustrated with my nails, we are to keep them shorter but can have a little length but aren't to wear artifial tips, but no matter what I tried the frequent washing & hand sanitizer just keeps them weak. I tried the instant artificial gel 1st & liked it but tried this next out of curiosity, & loved it, stays on without chipping the longest of anything I have tried. I do have to touch up my right hand about every other day, but at least all my nails look nice now! I still use the gel as a top coat over the polish, cannot express how easier it has been for great results! :) Also, it does dry quickly BUT when applying polish too soon after it, then that takes forever to dry, so I wait 2-3 hours after applying before applying polish & that works. OMG The Miracle for a Working Woman's Nails!! I work in several environments - office, chemical storage, industrial and construction. My hands are exposed to all kinds of conditions - soil, heavy equipment, steel, concrete, latex/nitrile gloves, frequent hand washing. And my schedule varies such that I rarely have time to grow out my nails for professional occurrences. I had just about given up hope for having even decent short nails ... until I found Fiberglass Network! Now, in one short evening a week, I can have strong, lasting nails no matter what the work week holds for me. This stuff should be called "Nails of Steel" because I have yet to break one on the job. And my nails are super prone to peeling - not when using this product. I now carry an almost empty bottle in my purse to show everyone I can! 5 simple layers is all it takes: 1. Fiberglass Network lengthwise down nail, let dry 30mins 2. Fiberglass Network crosswise across nail, let dry 30mins 3. Orly Bonder Basecoat (yes this stuff is magic for keeping color polish on nails!), let dry 15-20mins 4. Color polish of choice (my current favorite is Orly Star Spangled - Orly colors only take one good coat - other brands might require two to achieve the result desired), let dry 30 mins 5. Orly Polyshield Topcoat with extra attention to edges and tips, let dry a min of 30mins This stuff is fantastic and I hope it never is discontinued ***Hint Hint*** December 6, 2011
