Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you're like me and are worried about tackiness This LED light works perfectly. When I first attempted to do my own gel nails at home *I did not know that tackiness was to be expected UNTIL AFTER the top coat is applied, cured, and wiped with cleaner/alcohol.* if you were discoureged by the sticky gummy feeling nails after you applied the foundation or a few coats of color, please give this another try. I was ready to return the light until I realized that even though my nails did not feel dry after placing them under the light in between coats of polish, they were indeed being cured. Once you apply the top coat, cure your nails, and than rub them with isopropyl alcohol. Tada... perfect gel pedicure!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works, but I have to go longer than 45 seconds I've had this for awhile. I followed all the tips given by pros, I even watched and remembered every step they do when I get my nails done at a salon. For some reason, sometimes after I cure for 45 seconds, I'll go to do a final coat (or if I'm done, I go to wipe with alcohol to remove tackiness) and the color wipes off! It's so annoying! The steps I take are: file and buff nails, wipe nails with alcohol, pH bond, thin coat of foundation, cure, thin coat of color, cure, 2nd thin coat of color, cure, finish with top it off, cure, wipe with nails never last as long as when the pros do it. I have to cure for over 2 minutes sometimes just to make sure the polish doesn't wipe off. Idk if I should go to a nicer model or if it's user error.....I'm sad

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Very happy with this purchase. It worked exactly as I hoped it would. If you're having problems, I would read through some of the reviews. Lots of great tips there! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I bought this a month ago and have used it several times. The results are amazing. If you want great jel nails and don't want to waste money having someone at a salon do it, this is what you should purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To answer negative reviews This light works great! I work in a high volume salon and have zero return or clients so I know if this works or not. At work I use a high end $300+ LED (OPI) light and have this one for personal use. If it's not working for you then only thing I can say is 1. Your polish layers are too thick (gel polish must be applied very thin for each coat (2x) 2. You're not using a bond aid before application or cleaning nail plate with alcohol after filing and buffing and before bond aid. 3. If you say polish is still tacky then you don't know what you're doing. It will remain tacky forever as that is how regular gel top coat is made. U must remove tacky residue with alcohol after curing (unless you have a NO WIPE TOP COAT). Also for those wondering if this light will cure hard gel the answer is most Likely NO. This is a LED light and most hard gel has to be cured with a UV light. And also, LED lights don't lose power (strength) like UV lights so they don't need or can be replaced unless machine gets broken or damaged somehow then u just replace the entire unit. Hope this helps!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Absolutely useless. As a manicurist that had the 18g led light that stopped working I expected this to at least be as good as a regular uv light. May be useful as a night light it Christmas ornament.

Will this product dry non gel nail polish?

Asked by: Dawnk660
No. It's only for gel polish that's made for curing with the LED light which will be indicated on the polish bottle.

Does this work to dry regular nail polish?

Asked by: jessvades
Light isn't going to help dry regular nail polish. So this light won't have any effect.

Do you need to use Gelish brand polish or will any gel polish work?

Asked by: anonymous
Any gel polish will work (if unsure just read bottle and make sure works for led also which most brands are compatible with both UV AND LED)

I visit a salon to get nails done.  I use OPI Polish and want to know what kind of LED light will work for me at home. How many watts should I be looking for? Will this light do the trick?

Asked by: JulieAnn
I use many different brands and this will work just paint each coat especially first coat very light.
