Great warmer, comes with a bad wax The warmer works great, and the wooden applicators, muslin strips, and the lotions and cleansers it comes with are great. The only thing wrong with it is the wax that's included with it. The wax it comes with is sticky and stays gooey, so it doesn't work. If you buy this set I highly recommend buying a different wax as well. March 8, 2014
Excellent Starter Kit for the Home User!! I am so glad I bought this kit!! I have been using it for over a year now. The only thing I have not used up is the After Wax Concealer. It doesn't match my skin (or my friends') and just seems unnecessary. I LOVE the Post Epilation Lotion and the Wax Off Wax remover and use them every time I wax! I'm not a huge fan of the Post Epilation Cooling Gel and my friend does not like it. It can really sting if the skin is at all sensitive. I use the Pre-Hon Pre-Epilation Cleanser to help me re-wax areas I missed the first time without hurting myself or my friend. I use the wax remover then the cleanser, then wax the area again; works well most of the time. Since this kit is for my personal use I don't really use the collars or rest bar. The one time I did use the collar more wax ended up inside the wax warmer and down the sides than any time I have used it without a collar. I have never tried using a rest bar. Overall I absolutely love this kit and have continued buying the products I was introduced to by buying it. March 21, 2013
Good for beginners I bought this a few years ago since I got tired of paying someone else to shape my brows or any upper lip hair. I tossed the creme wax since it tends to stick to my skin and not the hair (what's the point right?). So I bought the all purpose honee, which is great, some baby oil- cleans up any spills on my counter, baby powder on my skin to prevent the wax from sticking to my skin, and another oil based wax remover for my face when I miss some parts. I use the clean and easy wax remover. I also lay an old hand towel on the counter underneath it all - just in case i get clumsy. It take a little bit of practice, but this little kit really pays for itself when you get the hang of it. It all lasts a long time - All I ever really need to stock up on are the applicators and the muslin strips, maybe once or twice a year. The wax has lasted even longer than that, but it all depends on what you use it for. Do only small areas at a time! December 25, 2012
Good Value if your new to waxing I got this kit about a year ago for about fifty with a coupon and discount, I guess they have raised the price since... I think it's a good value for someone who is new to waxing and doesn't know what they all need. The kit comes with 6 tiny sample bottles to test which I think is great for someone who doesn't want to spend the money on the big bottles and not like how they work. I ended up only liking 2 of the bottles (Pre-Hon Lotion and After Wax Cooling Gel) and have since bought the bigger size and thrown out all the sample bottles I didn't use. I also went and bought the Wax Off Lotion(didn't come with the kit) to remove any wax residue left on the skin. To save some money, I use regular rubbing alcohol to clean wax that might have gotten on the warmer or the glass table I have it on; I also bought a cheap bottle of Johnson Baby Powder to use before applying wax to my skin to help prevent the wax from sticking to my skin. I did a patch test of the Creme Wax the kit came with and it broke my sensitive skin out, so I threw that in the trash and went and bought the All Purpose Honee Wax which has lasted a very long time. It does take trial and error for beginners on how thick of a consistency and how best to apply the wax but you get the hang of it after awhile. July 18, 2011
