The Generic Value Products line was formed, because a group of experienced chemists and marketing personnel knew they could produce a product as good as the higher priced quality name brands.
After shampooing, massage into wet hair. Leave in 1-3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. For intense conditioning, leave conditioning balm in hair 1-3 minutes.
Before you go into the pool or sun, wet your hair and work in some Generic Value Products Conditioning Balm. The conditioner will help to keep the pool chemicals from absorbing into your hair. If you can, rinse your hair in plain water after getting out of the pool, so that pool water do not dry into your hair.
Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Myristyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Decyl Oleate, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Hexyl Cinnamal, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Hydrastis Canadensis (Golden Seal) Extract, Fucus Vesiculosus (Bladderwack) Extract, Methyl-2-Octynoate

Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE This conditioner saved my hair. After a horrible experience with protein OVERLOAD I needed a non-protein, moustirizing conditioner ASAP. 5 star conditioner!! August 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE This! I have thick fine hair which was platinum when I was young and now is a brown with red and gold highlights. I recently added some highlights and now use the Generic version of Clairol's purple shampoo to keep the brassiness down. That stuff can dry hair out in just one use! My hair is normally oily by the scalp and with summer swimming and California sun dry a bit at the ends if I don't watch out. I decided to get this because of the good reviews and I'm glad I did. This stuff comes out pretty thick - less than a third of the bottle is gone and I had to shake hard to get some out but then I added a bit of water and it made it a bit easier. No big deal though it's a balm! I didn't even leave the stuff on my hair for any amount of time I just worked it in, counted to ten and rinsed. It smells pretty good and the scent stayed in my hair for over a day. It immediately softened my hair to better than it was before the highlights. I had previously been using the Generic of Paul Mitchell's Lavender Mint Moisturizing Conditioner DAILY with the purple shampoo only weekly but my hair started to head towards strawville. Now that I use just a bit of the balm every day in the shower my hair is soft, manageable, and healthy. I have even skipped putting my leave in conditioner on my ends for the last week and my hair is still doing great. I swear by this stuff! July 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for damaged hair Coloring and curling iron use damaged my hair. I had breakage and dry, brittle ends. This helped more than any other conditioner. I followed the tip on another review which said to not rinse out completely. It doesn't weigh my hair down or look greasy. Softens, repairs and makes my hair look healthy. But yes, hard to get out of bottle. I'll put up with that minor inconvenience. February 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Stuff! This is a terrific product -- absolutely as good as the name-brand it imitates, and so much cheaper. I had a problem with severely overprocessed hair, and consistent use of this conditioner has brought it back to life, given it shine and reduced the horrid straw-like appearance. My hairdresser suggested the name-brand product, so I swallowed hard and shelled out the money for it, and loved it, but when I discovered the generic brand I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. I have this on autoship now so I never have to worry about running out. The only bad thing about it is that it's hard to get out of the bottle. I store it standing upside-down and unscrew the cap rather than trying to squirt it out of the hole, but it would be lovely if it came in a plastic jar like the name-brand. Still, for the money I'm saving, it's worth a little trouble. February 6, 2015
