Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! Great slip for curly heads I have 2c, naturally curly hair. I color it so it's very porous- humidity=frizz. This has no glycerin, which can lead to frizz in high humidity. I love this conditioner for it's moisturizing qualities, and I also use it lightly for a leave-in with curl forming gels and hard hold gels. This has great slip and leaves my hair feeling wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly like the old Biolage formula I purchased this product because I love the old Biolage Conditioning Balm formula, which has been discontinued. Also, this product is a fraction of the price. I honestly can't tell the difference between the two. I use it on my waist-length, baby fine hair daily in a hybrid wash routine. I wet my hair, apply GVP Conditioning Balm to the length only and shampoo the scalp, then rinse. After towel drying, I apply a few drops of serum with cones. This routine leaves my hair soft, full of body, super shiny and tangle free. Please, Sally, don't ever stop making this product! <3

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice! I have been searching high and low for a hydrating, moisturizing silicone and protein free conditioner that might hopefully also be aloe-free as I'm allergic to aloe (go figure). This I used for the first time tonight. Fantastic. If hair could talk mine would have said thank you. Yes it's thick and rich, no it's not that hard to get out of the bottle even for me. And I think it might just have saved my hair from tonight's little episode with ion crystal gel treatment which I reviewed if you're curious. This is a keeper. Sally's please keep this in stock and don't change the formula, like don't add any silicones. Please! As winter always dries my hair out big time and it's on the way, I'll definitely be ordering more of this! I do wish we could get this in larger bottles. I can see even with my chin length fine, thin hair, I'll be going through these 16oz bottles fairly quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Have Product I use this product to moisturize my naturally highly porous, frog hair fine, curly hair. As my hair is so fine textured, it has a "poof" factor that is through the roof. To date, I have found NOTHING that mositurizes and tames it as well as this. My curls demand a lot of protein, and this GVP conditioning balm provides the perfect level of moisture to keep the crucial protein/mositure balance perfect. Granted, it is very thick which makes it difficult to remove from the bottle, but the product's results far override any inconvenience. It is also the only product I've found to use as a leave in that doesn't disappear via evaporation on my porous hair within a few hours. I apply it daily. Although I will confess to being a bit of a product "junkie," this is one of the few I buy over and over again. Dear Sally's, please, please put this in a liter bottle!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE This! I have thick fine hair which was platinum when I was young and now is a brown with red and gold highlights. I recently added some highlights and now use the Generic version of Clairol's purple shampoo to keep the brassiness down. That stuff can dry hair out in just one use! My hair is normally oily by the scalp and with summer swimming and California sun dry a bit at the ends if I don't watch out. I decided to get this because of the good reviews and I'm glad I did. This stuff comes out pretty thick - less than a third of the bottle is gone and I had to shake hard to get some out but then I added a bit of water and it made it a bit easier. No big deal though it's a balm! I didn't even leave the stuff on my hair for any amount of time I just worked it in, counted to ten and rinsed. It smells pretty good and the scent stayed in my hair for over a day. It immediately softened my hair to better than it was before the highlights. I had previously been using the Generic of Paul Mitchell's Lavender Mint Moisturizing Conditioner DAILY with the purple shampoo only weekly but my hair started to head towards strawville. Now that I use just a bit of the balm every day in the shower my hair is soft, manageable, and healthy. I have even skipped putting my leave in conditioner on my ends for the last week and my hair is still doing great. I swear by this stuff!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for damaged hair Coloring and curling iron use damaged my hair. I had breakage and dry, brittle ends. This helped more than any other conditioner. I followed the tip on another review which said to not rinse out completely. It doesn't weigh my hair down or look greasy. Softens, repairs and makes my hair look healthy. But yes, hard to get out of bottle. I'll put up with that minor inconvenience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Stuff! This is a terrific product -- absolutely as good as the name-brand it imitates, and so much cheaper. I had a problem with severely overprocessed hair, and consistent use of this conditioner has brought it back to life, given it shine and reduced the horrid straw-like appearance. My hairdresser suggested the name-brand product, so I swallowed hard and shelled out the money for it, and loved it, but when I discovered the generic brand I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. I have this on autoship now so I never have to worry about running out. The only bad thing about it is that it's hard to get out of the bottle. I store it standing upside-down and unscrew the cap rather than trying to squirt it out of the hole, but it would be lovely if it came in a plastic jar like the name-brand. Still, for the money I'm saving, it's worth a little trouble.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Less than desirable I have very processed (bleached) hair and was hoping the extra moisture in this would help. I've been using this for a month but no matter how little or much I use it makes my hair stick together and hard to use, my hair doesn't seem more of less healthy but it's just unpleasant having my hair clump together so much.
