Gold 'N Hot 1400 Watt Professional Hard Hat Salon Dryer
Not a good dryer
Yeah I agree with the other review. I am no professional yet but I am in beauty school and this dryer does not dry well. I had a gold N hot dryer years ago and it worked very well. Who ever is making these new one are not doing a good job. I can sit under this dryer with the setting on high and it still will not dry all of my hair and I have my hair in a short hair cut right now. I would recommend the venus dryers they are more expensive but at least you will get your money's worth in the long run

Take it off the market
Worse dryer I ever owned!
Cheap, cheap materials, lightweight, poor performance
I sat for 2 hours - top and sides of my hair still damp (roller set) and the dryer kept toppling over
Very little to no heat on any setting

Does The Job
I purchased this HHD on December 10th and decided to use it a couple of times before I wrote a review. At the time I bought this I also purchased an extended warranty (which I recommend - it's only about $5.95). I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY ON HOW TO USE AND STORE THE HHD. I use it on my wash days mostly for deep conditioning 30 mins at a time. I wash/shampoo my hair twice weekly. So far I have to say that my HHD does the job. It just has two heat settings, - high and low. On high it gets hot, but not scalding hot, for which I am glad. The cool setting is more like luke-warm. If I use it to dry my hair with rollers, my head fits under comfortably. Getting your hair to dry all over at the same time is just a matter of placement of yourself under the dryer as well as placement of the dryer. ALWAYS find a sturdy surface for the dryer when you're going to use it. Me, I put mine on my couch and sit on a cushion on the floor which gives me the right height. I like that it is light weight also. It is a bit loud (tolerable), but only to the person under the dryer. It is not blaring so that it disturbs others around you.

Sorry I purchased it!
The hard hood looks large but just wait until you've seen the inside. It has a small cone of hot air coming out... it will get the crown of the head pretty dry, though. But, that is just about it! The hair on the sides and back after 60 minutes still was not dry! :( (I had to use my blower dryer!) The dryer was so light in weight, every time I turned my head, the entire dryer turned. I had to use a stack of books just that the hood would meet my head height. The dryer does not allow you to elevate the hood for height. It just has a tilting mechanism. Shucks!
