Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I have fairly damaged hair from getting it relaxed all the time and my stylist recommended I use a conditioning treatment to help with the loss of moisture in my hair, especially in the winter. I'm not a big fan of Silk Elements regular conditioners, but this is wonderful. It left my hair nice and soft and there was very little breakage left in the shower as well as in my comb; plus it smells wonderful! Even though it did leave my hair soft, there are still some dry, almost brittle spots, but overall I am very happy with how it turned out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shedding Stopped in Tracks! Wow! This stuff is great! I have long, relaxed, color treated hair. I tried some "all natural" hair care products recently. Bad Idea! Hair was left stiff feeling with a waxy coating. I ended up with a lot of shedding and breakage on ends. Washed, deep conditioned with this product and followed up and d/c'd with the SE moisture treatment. When I combed through my hair during my roller setting, my hair was soft, silky and there was SIGNIFICANTLY less shedding! I went from a wad of my hair being combed out, to just a small amount of strands shed. Highly recommend!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frizzy hair remains, only now it's also greasy! I have fine, yet abundant Caucasian hair. I had my hair highlighted twice in a short period of time, so as a result, I started out with rough, frizzy, dry hair, and after using this mayonnaise, I ended up with oily, frizzy, weighed-down hair. Mind you, I dipped my fingers in the container and only used one small scoop and I have hair that extends halfway down my back. I was hoping to have revitalized, moisturized, smooth, frizz-free, healthy-looking hair. After using this, my hair still felt rough, but now it looked as if I hadn't washed my hair for 2 weeks and had lost half of my head of hair (only because my hair looked sticky due to this product and the weighing down got rid of whatever volume I had left). I gave it 3 tries, and the result is the same. Thanks, unhelpful sales associate for claiming this was a miracle product, because it isn't! My hair looks worse than what I started with, and now I'm out $8. It feels like greasy cotton candy, if you can imagine that. Guess it will end up in the trash, since I was told by the associate that no refunds are given once a product is opened. I only give it a "fair" rating because the smell is very pleasant (like Snuggle fabric softener). And the search for a truly nourishing hair pick-me up that will make my hair look healthy continues...*sigh*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am African American with relaxed hair. Alone this product didnt work well for me. After rinsing, it left my hair hard and difficult to comb thru. However, after reading the review that mayonnaise is a protein intended to strengthen and not necessarily soften your hair, I understood why. I experimented a little and now this is one of my favorites. I use a combination of the Megasilk Mayonnaise, Luxury Moisturizing conditioner, and the Leave in Moisturizing Creme. I sit under the dryer 15 minutes, comb thru, and rinse. My hair is left smelling great and it feels incredibly soft and detangled. Since using this combination I have noticed that my hair doesn't shed or beak off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT My hair is natural and craves moisture. I am very happy with the results of this product. I followed the instructions and my hair was left softer and wavy. The curl pattern was more relaxed. I'm happy

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Changed Formula This conditioner used to be amazing for my hair. It stopped hair breakage and made my hair stronger. I used this for about a year and it stopped working for me for some reason. i realized Silk Elements change the formula by taking out the egg powder which my hair liked. Now I have to find another form of protein for my hair. To bad!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE I CANT EVEN START! okay, the smell made me want to rip my nose off. I don't know HOW anyone can stand it. Also, it did nothing. I took a bath, washed my hair and put this on with a shower cap for about 7 minutes. then i took the cap off and rinsed it out and I COULDN"T BELIEVE what it did to my hair! It was so greasy, the smell didn't come out, and it did NOTHING! I will never use this again. TERRIBLE PRODUCT! I have course asian hair, i don't know if that's why, orr?

Can we flat iron our hair after using conditioner?

Asked by: Binonca
Per my experience with flat ironing my own hair, it has always worked out in my favor to do so after conditioning or deep conditioning. The results come out better, the hair looks healthier, and you have less chances for heat damage to occur.
