Semi-Permanent Brights Hair Color is rated 3.4846 out of 5 by 423.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Titanium by Ion Color Brilliance For me, I am trying to stop coloring my hair and go natural which is a gray silver. I had a lot of warm color including blonds mixed in. I first had my hair bleached using a new product to help protect my hair from the bleach which worked great. Being I could not buy Matrix due to not having my license, I found Ion Titanium. Here is the trick, the lighter and more bleached or lifted your hair is, the less time you leave it on. My first round I fell onto habit and left it in for 40 min.. 5 washings later and all in a row within an hour it calmed down. Now, I leave it in for about 20 min. and perfect gray/silver toned hair. Remember now, Titanium is a cool color so hue of blue will be there in the slightest if you use too long. I have mastered it now on how much and how to apply, which is my own technique which works great. I would totally recommend this color is the Titanium gray is what you want. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Nice I told myself that if I got accepted into UC San Diego that I would dye my hair. I got accepted so I did some research. I wanted a rose gold color so decided to pick up Flamingo and Rose- that's what Ion told me on its website. I bleached my hair till it was a dirty blonde color. Instead of bleaching it once more, I was impatient and put the color in. I left the color in for about two or three hours (longer than what I'm supposed to leave it in for). I was quite satisfied with the color but it only lasted three washes. The second time around, I bleached my hair again (now it was a light blonde color) and decided I wanted pink. I had some left over Rose so I just put that in my hair and left it on overnight- about 8 hours. The color was perfect and it has been three washes and the color is still vibrant. My complaint is that you have to leave it in for a really long time for the color to stay more than a couple of washes and after washing, your hair will smell weird.... Even now after three washes it still smells weird. I will be using this dye again rather than the popular Manic Panic because even when I left that in overnight, only the tips of my hair was colored and it lasted maybe two washes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slightly misleading colors I am not a professional. I went platinum blonde at home and it is a level 10, with no brass. I very much enjoy colorful hair dye and this brand is definitely my favorite. I mostly dye the ends for an ombre look. My current look is platinum blonde to purple ombre. I have a lot of wacky hair dyes, so for me it's not the end of the world if I get the wrong shade of something. Lavender- looks more like periwinkle, it gets purpley-er the longer it is left on, DEFINITELY not the color of the box Rose- a very nice light pink, very similar to the color of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purple Brights I bought purple. I used this over a very faded Splat Lusty Lavender job. I am very impressed! While it seems to fade a lot faster than N Rage, it does not bleed onto my clothes, face, pillow cases, etc. when I sweat or when my hair is drying after a shower. I will probably continue to buy this with the knowledge I will need to refresh the color every week and a half or so (I wash my hair every other day).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comparable to Pravana Vivids I have used multiple colors of this line and they hold for a lot longer than the competitors. It is very comparable to the professional line Pravana's vivids. The price can't be beat for how well this stuff will hold in. That being said, it does hold in a long time. If you are looking for a color that will fade out and you can go back to a lighter color this is not your brand. You are going to have this color for the time that the hair is on your head, and there really is no safe way to remove it. Even bleach will just make it brighter. To cover it you will need a level 6 or darker, so that means no blondes and you will have to take into account the tone needed to cover the color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad So I colored with magenta, teal and purple. BEAUTIFUL colors. First wash? Teal stayed well. Purple washed out a bit. Magenta? Faded BAD to a dull pink. I will reapply and see if the colors sticks a little better the next time. Overall I am pleased with the product for the price. Like others I had some issues due to the thickness of the paste but applied it directly to my color brush and ran it through my hair. This method seemed to work best for the magenta. The teal and purple were mixed with a dab of conditioner

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was really excited about this color, but it did not deliver. I went into sally today, to buy a silvery gray hair dye. After seeing the colorbrillliance sample, i got really excited because it looked great. I bought it along with the recommended Quick blue bleach, which also did not meet expectations, I left the bleach in for an entire hour and a half, and when i went to wash it out, because I didn't feel comfortable waiting any longer with bleach in my hair, only the roots, to about halfway down my hair was actually even remotely bleached, I was ok with leaving the tips of my hair black, so I continued to proceed with the Titanium hair coloring, I left it in for three and a half hours, and when i went to wash it out, the entirety of the product washed out without leaving a trace of my hair dyed.

How can I get this ugly color out of my hair?!

How can this be labeled semi permanant yet it can permanently stay in your hair?! I used lavender on my lightened hair and it came out more blue than purple. I figured after awhile it would wash out, but that didn't happen. It just faded. I used a feria hi-lift and it lightened the blue a little bit, but it's still there. Very unhappy with this product. What can I do to get this faded blue out of my hair???
Asked by: Rachel
Wash your hair with the cheapest shampoo or even a body wash, the wash using baking soda thru the hair.  Remember: use a handful of vinegar to base of freshly colored hair helps color stick..baking soda, and cheap shampoo or a dandruff shampoo helps remove color.  Good luck!

How often can I recolor? I want to keep my color BRIGHT but this fades fairly quickly

Will it be damaging to my hair to recolor every 2-3 weeks? My hair has been dyed every 6-8 weeks for years, at a salon. Recently we bleached my hair and dyed it a rainbow of colors using these dyes. I am just wondering how often I can recolor to keep the bright colors bright, without hurting my hair.
Asked by: Adria
As often as needed to maintain your Bright tone! Be sure to pay attention to your hairs condition and increase time in between processes if you feel the hair becoming compromised in anyway.

I'm interested in the Purple and Fuschia colors, but I'm not sure of what color undertones they have. I already have minty green hair, and I'm kinda trying to get away from that.
Asked by: Anonymous
The purple has blue undertones but if your hair is a minty green color at the moment it will mix with that green tone and end up kinda brownish. I would also buy a tube of either the sky blue or shark blue depending on the color you want and mix it in with the purple/fuschia for the desired color.

Will this damage my natural hair color and how long will it take to come out?

I like my natural hair and many people have told me to not dye it, but I want to dye it shark blue and lavender at the ends. So will it make my natural hair come out a different color, and how long will it take to come out or is there a way I can make it come out automatically if I dont like it?
Asked by: Paige
Hello, and thank you for your question. Longevity is dependent on the hairs porosity. These pigments are typically long lasting and can become permanent in rare circumstances. We would recommend trying a test area underneath and wash regularly to see how long it may last in your hair prior to committing to a full application. Without pre-lightening it is possible the color will not show in natural hair, so a test is highly recommended.

Will the sliver work on red hair?

I bleached my hair which created a calico look, blond on top red middle brown bottom. I'm not concerned with covering the brown, just the red
Asked by: Shadoeixies
Sounds like your frustrated- go to a colorist, if you can! My suggestion is that you use a toner (Wella) or anti-brass treatment (purple packets) to balance the your hair color out before you use the Titanium. But DO NOT bleach again for another 7/10 days until your pH level returns to normal, because it'll turn your hair to mush. Bleaching causes unnecessary and Irrepairable damage. If that doesn't work enough, then you can use a color-removing kit (by One 'N Only- yellow box, sold in SBS stores) to remove any leftover (permanent) hair color pigments in your hair. It's soooooo much better for your hair than bleach. Alas... Should you decide to bleach again- use differing volumes for developers, so you don't end up tri-toned again. I've used Titanium SemiPerm, Chrome DemiPerm, and Chrome Perm. If you're looking to have your whole head one color, use the Chrome Permanent. It's the same color, just another version of it. Both colors have a gunmetal gray finish, even on pre lightened hair (I was @level 10), with an ash (blue) tone to it- so putting the Titanium SemiPerm atop of it may cause a purplish wave throughout. Remember to strand test!! Good luck!
