Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better I tried this product out maybe a year ago and I do love the color and general thickness of the product itself but I will say this is not as easy color to remove. This color like most will turn ashy (green) but trying to remove this color with remover or bleach you will not like the results. I ended up being mint green afterward and at the time mint green was never going to be a color I walked around with. Staying power was good but if you like to interchange colors that don`t recover well like green to pink, this is not suggested with this color itself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Color looks good but doesn't last I used the color rose mixed with a little lavender, and about a 1/2 tablespoon of conditioner just because it's very thick and hard to apply if not. I left the color on for about 3 hours with heat for about 20 mins. The color came out really pretty, and still looked good after one wash, but after the second it was very faded and splotchy. I would recommend if you want a fun hair color for a weekend but that's about it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed I was hoping to blend gray hair by putting this on the lower half but it rinsed right out even after letting it sit for 2 hours. Ive heard it doesnt hold on gray hair and they were right.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work I bought the blackest black for my blond son, who needed to have black hair for his school musical. It didn't take! The directions that I just read on your website are different from inside the box. Maybe if we did Your directions he would've had the black hair that he needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Blue I have been using this color aqua for a while now, and even when I do bleach my roots, then cover with the dye I get brilliant color every time.

I'm planning on dying my hair smoky amethyst has anyone tried it? How good is it? Does it look good?

Asked by: D3ANA123
My hair is lightened to almost a 10 and it didn't budge to anything like the swatches show. I love Ion products even though they have metallic pigment which is difficult to color over, but this particular shade and the new violet gray did very little. I don't recommend these new shades it was a waste of time and hopefully not money since I did a strand test. I will be bringing back the unopened tubes. Try titanium and mix it with a little bit of light purple or light blue just a tiny bit though or it will go green.

My hair is a dark chocolate brown color it's thick n long about another 3 in. Past my shoulders I read the tubes are 2 ounces. How many do you recommend I use?

Asked by: Rocio2218
I think for darker hair it's harder for the color to grasp and won't be as visible as with bleached hair

I dye my hair soft blue black. I don't want to lighten before I use this. I used lavender and violet grey. My hair was extremely soft and shiny. I wrapped my hair in plastic and kept it on for an hour and a half. Do u think a lighter color will wo

Asked by: Tequila Rose
It didn't show me your whole question. But I used one without lightening my hair and my hair felt great but the color did not come thru. My hair is very dark. Hope this helps.

I have medium-to-dark brown hair which is naturally turning silver-white.  How well do the brights colors show on natural silver-white hair?

Asked by: LinzEloo
I have dark brown hair, and bleach it in order to use this product. The places that take the bleach best, and are therefore the lightest, are the most brilliant. I imagine that they would work wonderfully on silver-white hair.

Do you have to use a developer with this or do you just use it right out of the tube

Asked by: Kbizbro69
No, just use it straight from the tube.

I notice on the question site some mix conditioner with their color before applying. Is their a product that you suggest to use with the semi perm color titanium.?

Asked by: Loisdemar
They (Ion) has a product meant for thinning out the dye if need be but don't use developer. It's says right on the instructions not to. You can use white conditioner if you want, just use a small amount such as 4 tablespoons. Your best bet is to add the dye into a plastic bowl then slowly add a small amount of conditioner so it becomes easier to work with and you can still see the color that way. It'll only change the color of you add A LOT.

My friend wants me to dye her hair but I am 4 weeks pregnant.. is it safe for me to do so ?

Asked by: Jpeters310
You absorb very little chemicals through your skin and scalp. Cosmetologosts have babies every day and we are Always exposed to these colors and our kids come out fine. It is not dangerous.

I just found out that Smokey Amethyst is a light purple, when I need a brown. I need to do my color for tomorrow and the shop is already closed. I have dark brown hair : do you think that is going to help my grey hair without making me purple haired?Thank

Asked by: SilviaBo
You will definitely have a purple tint to your hair but most likely very light
