Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst dye ever I bought all the stuff to dye my hair not even two weeks again and I fallowed the directions on the package. Had to use blue flash toner in my hair twice to strip and tone my hair. Then I washed that out dried it out and dyed my hair with the Fuchia hair color and not even two weeks later it's faded out. I use color safe shampoo and conditioner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely WONDERFUL I'm very very impressed with this product. I purchased the red variety. I dyed my hair 2 and a half months ago, and there's still traces of it in my hair. I use hot water a few times a week washing my hair, and it just sticks. I never pre-treated my hair or anything. I previously had used a dye that just didn't stick for more than 2 weeks, washing out every wash. This by far is the most amazing product, and a coworker of mine has used blue and it lasts her vibrantly for several months. I've had nothing but compliments back when it was very vibrant and even now when it's still here - other than the select couple people against guys dying hair haha. Absolutely impressed and will likely use it again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great color, wish it last longer I purschased flamingo pink a little worried when when I saw how bright he color was out the tube. Used it anyway my hair is a medium blond left it one for about an hour. Absolutely loved the colored it came out. Rose gold. However the color only lasted for about a week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved It! I read the reviews and was really reluctant. I did put a plastic cap on and left it overnight because it did wash right out with letting it process for 30-45 minutes. The color came out great! I've washed it twice so far and it has barely faded! I have gotten tons of compliments on it! Looking forward to trying all the colors! Thank you to the others who posted pictures.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wanted to love it... I purchased Rose, Lavender & Azure. 99% of Rose washed out with one shampooing. Lavender didn't take at all. I'm not sure if I will bother trying the Azure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Was readily available I bought the color a couple weeks ago, but haven't had the time to use it yet. I received the product very promptly and was very satisfied with the service when ordering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colors and great prices The past two times I have colored my hair was by using Ion hair color. The first time I made a mistake, completely my fault. My hair was too yellow/orange for the Jade color to display its teal beauty, so it turned out hulk green. A beautiful green, at that, but not what I was looking for. That color started to fade somewhat quickly due to me joining a swim team and improperly coloring my hair. Again totally my fault. So I bought Sky Blue the other day, and tried it out after I removed the green color/fixed my roots. I have got to say that Sky Blue is the most remarkable royal/vivid blue color I've yet to see on the market. It is bright, exciting, and beautiful (as a blue lover). Ion's bright hair colors are amazing in my past experience and I have yet to explore more of what they have to offer.

will this product brighten gray hair????

Asked by: KC Bazz02
I've been using sky blue for over a year- I mix with conditioner and apply it all over.  I have natural dark brown hair but it sticks to my grays, so I have dark brown hair with bright blue streaks throughout- I get complimented all the time on it!

I dye my hair a natural blonde and it is light enough that I could use other dye over it. I want to dye it purple for a little less than a month but I want to be able to return to my same blonde. Is this unrealistic/what dye will work to do this

Asked by: katieeeg
I would recommend using splats dye. It is not permanent and don't use the bleach it comes with, just the dye. It will last a month tops. Be sure to cover your ears and around your face with petroleum jelly. The splats will stain, so try and not get it on your scalp. If you end up with a lot of stains, use Sally's color remover wipes or pads, they work great. I hope this helps you.

Can you save leftover hair color? If so for how long?

Asked by: Summar93
We save it. The longest we have kept it was about 2 or 3 months and it was still perfect.

how bright would you have to lighten your hair to successfully use lavender? Im a red head.

Asked by: Daisy3301
You would have to be a bleach blonde for the lavender to show fully. It is a very light color. Magenta barely showed on my light brown haired daughter.

Why does ion never work ?!?

Asked by: Dldh i dont know
You're most likely not following instructions! You should use the pre-color treatment. Then your hair should be lightened to the proper level for the color you're going for. I always mix my dye with a sulfate free conditioner it really helps distribute the color evenly and moisturize at the same time. I also let it sit as long as possible to saturate with color. I then use the after-color treatment and conditioner to lock in my color. It takes effort to keep a color nice and if you aren't dedicated to the process it "won't work"!
