Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didnt do anything!! I had very light blonde hair (inside of a banana colour) and just didnt want to keep toning it so I decided to go a bit darker. I chose Light neutral blonde as the sample in store was a great colour. Followed directions as stated as a 1:1 ratio. Left on for 30 mins. Darkened it ever so slightly that it barely made a difference. Considering what I started with I should have been able to achieve the colour of the swatch, but no. It just didnt work. I do love Ion Brilliance and their products are usually great. I will try a different product of thiers. Maybe a semi.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color good, but have me bumps on face Great color in jet black, made my hair soft, but gave my lots of bumps under the skin on my face. If it wasn't for the rash it would have been 5 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Color I have grey hair and use 9NA a light ash to color my hair. I mix it with Waterworks #27, and some Grey Magic. I do not use perioxide any more and see no difference at all. I follow it with Henna Placenta overnight. Leave on 45 min = dark, 30 min = less dark. It holds for, it just grown out. I have been doing this for more years than I can remember.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mix colors for GREAT results! My hair was naturally golden brown with blond highlights. Very pretty. Then I turned grey. Not so pretty. I am pale and freckled. I went to the hairdressers to have my hair colored red. It came out way too dark, almost purple. UGH! What a waste of money. I tried Sally's Ion Demi Permanent in Dark Copper Blond mixed with a 10 volume developer. Again it came out too dark. I found the secret. I mix 1 ounce of Very light Golden Blond with 1 ounce of Dark Copper Blond with 4 ounces of 10 volume developer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great dye for people allergic to dark hair dye. I am very happy with this dye. I had no alergic reaction . Only thing it doesn't hold as long as PPB dyes. But the color is Rich and fills bleached hair very well. Only thing is when filling you need two applications and repeat in two weeks. Then it holds pretty well. I am very allergic to PPB dyes so this has been a God sent. Thanks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dried out my hair I read some of the previous reviews and bought a lighter shade (5N) since everyone said it came out darker. I used this only for my roots to touch up my grays and regrowth. All it did was make my grays stand out more and dry out my hair even more. Will not buy again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Natural looking My hairdresser recommended Ion demi perm color a few years ago and I have been using it every since. The color looks very natural and it fades away rather than grows out. It usually lasts ~8 weeks.

Type of toner to mix with

Asked by: Kimbabrt
I use number 10 ion developer. I use demi permanent color as it's not as harsh on my hair. I also mix 5rv and 6n to get a burgundy effect on my overall color.

My natural color is a neutral medium brown. I was getting blonde highlights regularly until about a year ago so I have about 5 inches of darker roots and brassiness. Will this in 7na help take the edge off while I transition to natural hair color?

Asked by: roots212
7NA is a good place to start.  It won't affect the color of the dark roots but will tone down the highlighted ends.  It should give some overall shine to all the hair. I find that mousse dulls the shine just a bit.  You can then adjust the highlighted ends color but I'm guessing you'll be pleased with the results.

Hello, I am currently a level 2 or 3. Want to lighten my hair neutral level 4 or 5 medium brown. Lots of red & brassy tones will come from lifting. To tone, should I use 7na demi? I'm reading that the color comes out kinda dark.. if not what should I use?

Asked by: Natalie T
Yes I bleached the ends of my hair to gain an ombre effect and my hair color was a dark brown , after bleaching it was a crazy orangy yellow color I then used the 7na demi permanent and it made it more of a light brown/dark blonde color how ever it completely took out all brassiness completely but I would suggest maybe leaving it on for less time recommended to have lighter results or if that's what your looking for.

I have dark brown hair got ION Clear hair color to highlight my hair white will the clear color do that or will it not do that?

Asked by: Snookie Bear
Clear is made to dilute color or add shine to hair.  You need a lightener to do this process along with a professional stylist!

I have balayaged my hair, the roots are my natural color and it blends down to a very light blond. Can I use this to darken the blonder parts without completely loosing the balayage effect?

Asked by: xinue187
Yes you can. You also don't have to use a demi to do want you want if you can't find the right shade in the demi like me, I use a permanent color with a level 10 developer. I have red in my hair and need an ash so I use 6A with 10 developer and it works the same way. You don't say what color your natural color is and my hair is opposite of yours, dark underneath and light on top. I use a permanent 8A on my roots at top angled down from crown to base of ears and the 6A underneath. The 8A always fades out in the sun to very blonde so I have to do like you and put color back on without using a level 20 developer. When I put color back on the faded out blond I use a 9g with 10 developer because of the warm tendency of my hair. Without a picture of your hair it is hard to say if this line has the shade you need.

Hi. It was suggested to me to use a "colorfill" or demi-permanent color to redeposit warm tones to my hair. My hair is bleached blonde with about 4" of regrowth. Is this a great product to start the process of moving to a warmer color?

Asked by: KyHippy2
Yes. I highly recommend doing this. It's a great product and I'm sure you will be very happy with the results.
