Intensive Shine Demi Permanent Creme Hair Color is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 276.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice all over color. I also ordered a tool kit for easy application and the level 10 developer (4oz). My hair is pretty short so I had more than enough. This covered my greys very nicely. My hair was already brown so this color turned out 2 shades darker than the color sample I saw at the store. Please keep this in mind when choosing color. Over all the product was easy to use and performed as expected. However, a small amount of hair did fall out as I was washing in the shower and combing after I got out. I think when I need to do a touch up I will leave this in for 15 minutes instead of 25.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A tad darker than expected My hair was in an awkward growing out stage. The ends where bleached and I had attempted to use color depositing shampoo, but it ended up orangy. I used the medium ash blonde, mixed with 4oz developer and left on for 15 minutes. the results were a tad darker than expected but I imagine it'll fade nicely. Way cheaper than getting it toned every month!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am in love I love love love the Ion Demi 6rc. There is absolutely no brown in it, and being a level 6 that means it is pretty bold to be dark enough to be a level 6. I did bleach my hair first so the color shows up good and bright. I have found that color oops also lightens my hair behind it's natural color so next time I will lighten it using that instead of bleach, to do roots. If I didn't lighten my hair first, it wouldn't be nearly as bold. Anyway, this color is a vibrant reddish copper with no pinks or purples.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! The shine! The feel, so soft!! I have dyed my hair out of a box for 5 years or by a salon professional (only for one luxurious year). I was timid to try to mix myself but I will never go back to a box. There was no residue feel after and just sleek feel and so much shine. I used Blue Black and also added the booster and followed up with the color lock packet. Covered up my resistant grays so well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good color, no english instructions! So my instructions were only French & Spanish on one side of a piece of paper. I assumed English would be on the other side, but it was not! I do know a bit of Spanish and did look up some instructions online. Overall, they are very vague and I still took a guess on how long I should leave it on. Aside from that, the color turned out great. I was looking for a temporary Mahogany, so I purchased 3RV-3.5 Burgundy Brown. I have an ombre effect on my naturally dark brown hair. While I wish it evened things out a bit more, it still came out beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go lighter 2 shades After reading ten million reviews on this product and a few horrible YouTube tutorials I decided to DIY refresh my brassy ombre. I didn't want to just dye my hair all one color and I didn't want to dye my natural brunette any different. I went with 9na very light ash brown and it definitely ashed it out and made my ombre more appropriate for the fall months. Next time I'll go one shade darker (maybe an 8) to get an even warmer look. I used 10 volume and let it sit for 30 minutes to process. My hair was left shiny and smooth feeling. Attached are before and after. FYI my hair only has bleach on it from 2 years ago, olaplex, and a demi gloss color from one year prior so I do not have much that would effect hair color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product saved my hair! After reading multiple reviews on this product, I was convinced that it would be my best chance at temporarily fixing my orange, over-processed hair, and boy am I happy that I gave it a shot! First off, I apologize for the lengthy review, but I found these types to be the most helpful. To give you some background, I have had a horrendous year in regards to my hair. After leaving my hair as it was since August 2016, I decided to balayage it again this late July and the stylist did not deliver what I wanted. She delivered a great color but she did not bring up the blonde like I asked and showed her. Also, she tinted my roots without asking me which resulted in problems later on. Being that I was unhappy, I went to another stylist in early August to have a "balayage touch up." I was hopeful that this would result in the blonde coming up higher, as I originally wanted. Unfortunately, since stylist #1 had tinted my roots dark brown, this resulted in weird orange patches and highlights all over my head. I was able to slightly disguise these sections by wearing my hair parted down the middle, but they were still noticeable nonetheless. In addition to being very noticeable, they also looked terrible as they did not blend in with my very light blonde tips. Disillusioned once again, I went to a third stylist to try and remove the orange disaster caused by stylist #2. Despite the third stylist's efforts to remove all the orange from my hair, while still trying to maintain the existing blonde and bring it up higher, she was restricted by the previous work. Stylist #3 was only able to leave my hair at a "honey," orange/yellow shade and recommended that I went back for another session in a couple of months to cancel the left-over orange spots for good. By this point in the story though, I was already extremely fed up with this hair catastrophe. In total, I had nearly wasted about $800 and my hair was now severely damaged (which it was not before.) Hence, I wanted to find a solution that would not throw to waste all the money I had invested into lightening my hair, but that would still allow me to conceal all the orange and yellow tones for the time being. At that moment, was when I came across this demi permanent dye. I picked up the shades 7N medium blonde and 9N lightest ash blonde along with a bottle of 10 developer and a neutral protein filler (so the ends of my hair wouldn't turn green but also for my hair not to pull more orange/red.) As a result of using all these products in combination, I was successfully able to conceal a large portion of the orange tones in my hair and give it an overall color, without causing additional damage and only spending $25!! I can now let my hair rest and recover without having to deal with those terrible undertones which makes me very happy.

I recently let my hair go sgrey, I have very fine hair, and miss the body and lift that dyeing gave it. I notice that there is a clear? I want to leave the silver grey but get the body. Would the clear demipermanent leave my hair color the same.

Asked by: Treemono
Demi permanents slightly open the cuticle and deposits  and may not work for volume. With permanent color the developers help to open cuticle with higher volumes and time left on the hair. Options can be a body wave perm for volume and using volumizing shampoos and lighter conditioners.

Does the Demi wash out gradually or do you get a grow out line. Do not want a grow out line.

Asked by: Taffy1986
Demi washes out gradually, but you still have a subtle line. It looks way more blended than permanent dye. Also, note that this dye turns out much darker than expected. My hair after dyed is more like a 3N, but i use 5G. The dye is great quality and stays in well if taken care of.

Is this a use alone product , or do I need to mix with another product ?

Asked by: Rburriss
You will need to mix it with a 10 volume developer, or a demi-permanent developer.

Hi I've been using liquid Bashful Blonde in Roux but thinking of trying Ion. My hair is 90% white when color fades and I like a medium blonde shades. Thinking about 7NB or 9NB and don't want my hair too dark. Can anyone help me decide? Thanks.

Asked by: Amieleigh
7NB is very dark! (I know, I've used it) I would go with the 9NB. That's what I use and it's a nice light blonde, but not too light. If you find it's a little too light, you can always mix 1/2 tube of a slightly darker shade with it, next time. Good luck!
