Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of lift This lifts my level 3 brown hair to a level 9 with 30 volume clear developer. It WILL NOT lift my re growth past pumpkin orange with creme developer. It always just seems to dry out very quickly with creme no matter what I did. This lightener mixes easily and doesn't smell unpleasant. I recommend using this with black reusable gloves. Don't scratch your scalp at all leading up to application and also let your scalp oils build up for a couple of days before application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bleach by far! I usually used the kaleidescope brand to bleach my hair and it was driving me nuts it'd take FOREVER!! One day when I went to Sally's to get more I saw this ion stuff was on sale so I tried it. There is no comparison!! It smells good and it lightens my hair in just a fraction of the time! My hair's usually a medium brown so i only have to do my roots but my hair is ridiculously thick. I don't mind paying more for this bleach because it is worth every penny!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not work for deep tones I switched bleach brands because I heard this brand was less damaging. That is true. What I was not told is that you're sacrificing quality. A lot. It took me 4 dyeing attempts (leaving the dye in for 8 hours) for the color in my roots to match the rest of my hair that I lightened with a different bleach. I only had to dye that area once. There were no oils in my roots or anything that would have blocked the dye. Even then, the color barely holds. I don't see any point in using bleach that does not function as bleach. I have wasted so much money on dye that I've essentially been flushing down a drain. This is ridiculous. For reference, I have very thin and fine hair, and I lightened my roots to the same light yellow I had with the previous bleach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT!! Before i bleached my hair i had beautiful big healthly virgin hair! I decided trying something new and add some color, the bleach work well and fastt! I suggest using it with the 30 volume ion developer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product!!! Just bleached my hair with this product before applying the ion Titanium hair color. It did the job!!! I also recommend using the ion Booster & Color Sealer Dual Kit with this product as well. Kept my hair from getting damaged, and left it silky soft!!!

Been dyeing med grey hair red for years & have color buildup. Want to get a lighter red shade but understand that dyed hair can't be lifted w/developer. Can this bleach dyed + roots evenly so I can go lighter red w/o hot roots?

Asked by: Shadokat
Unable to help, as red is a very difficult color to work with. Would have to see the condition of hair.

Help! I lost the insert with instructions. I need info on ratio & time. Thanks!

Asked by: aGirlNamedAmy
It is a 50-50 ratio, for 30 volume on natural hair, I left it on for 20-25 minutes

wanting to highlight my hair. This is the first time using the bleach and a developer. What developer do I buy I have med blonde and want light blonde high lights. And how do I mix it.

Asked by: Arherri0124
I buy the 20 developer and mix it 1:2 ratio so one scoop for every 2oz that's what my old stylist said is best for your hair so it won't kill your hair. After she cut my hair she used different developers and with I think 40 my hair was literally falling apart I bleach my hair all the time I just do my roots and mine is medium brown. Check your hair every 10-15 min and don't keep it in for over an hour! Oh and use a good conditioner afterword! Good luck!

Right now I have purple hair and want to go to a silver color I have already bought a toner but since the purple is still really dark I want to know if I should use this and if so what vol developer (I will also be using it on my scalp)

Asked by: Jenni2408
Usually when your going from dark to light the hair has to go through levels and you just want to make sure you are careful not to damage the hair. With the drastic change I would probably use 40 developer just because of the strength. I don't know the condition of your hair, however, my hair is pretty strong and thick, I use the 40 developer all the time and I leave it on for at least an hour. After rinsing, I always use a toner just to lock in the color for about 1-3 min. Not long. The shaft or pores are open, and leaving the toner long ( 5min) on will give your hair a purple tinge, and then you'll need to get a packet from Sally's to remove it. Check about every 20 minutes to see if it is turning. I am a very white blonde. I went from black to blonde, then white. Hair often goes gold and I use the same brand of brightener with 40 dev. and it goes back white about every 3 weeks, sometimes less depending on growth of my roots. You may be able to go longer in between coloring (6 weeks). Just remember, over coloring will cause your hair to break off or shed, so, just do your best or ask the people in the store, they are good consultants.

This may be a silly question, but for the mixing ratios recommend, Is that measuring oz for oz? Meaning 1 oz powder lightening to 1 oz of developer?

I have really thin hair and I don't have allot of it. Is it a good idea for me to bleach my hair I want to a hive a very light brown.

Asked by: Evegarfi
Excellent question! Is your hair thin because of damage? If it is i suggest you not to bleach your hair. But if you have strong healthy hair and its just thin, go ahead! Remember bleach does dry out your hair. You will need to take care of it a whole lot more than you might do now. If you have a curly hair texture. If your hair is striaght I would ask someone else im not an expert on striaght hair

I'm dyeing my hair dark grey and I'm not sure what bleach to use

Asked by: Maaaryraa
If your hair color is already light or medium brown or blonde that gray will work just by putting it on follow the directions. Your hair is darker brown or black you can use any bleach with 40 volume peroxide. The color goes in stages from Orange to Red to blonde wash and dry and then apply the gray.Color as directed with the direction
