Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is AMAZING I dyed my hair green, blue, and purple with Manic Panic and BTZ. I accidentally started applying dye (Manic Panic purple) without the pre-color treatment, but then remembered to put it on the rest of my hair before applying BTZ blue and Manic Panic green. The purple faded out within 2 weeks but the blue is still holding strong. It's been 3 and a half weeks and my color is still bright. If you're dying your hair, use this stuff!!!!!! It'll make all the difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pre color product This item really worked well on my poor over colored, permed hair! It allowed my hair to grab the color and have washed it again, and the color has stayed even. Will be buying more of it for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Because I am worth it! This product makes a very big difference! I have coloured my hair for 35 years before discovering this and will never colour again without it. Have been using it for about 2 years and my results are professional, consistent, and beautiful! Definitely buy more than one so when you are in a pinch you have it ready at hand and get the post colour treatment as well for a perfectly professional colouring that really lasts, (Lightest champagne blonde) until the next time you colour.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't know this existed I didn't know that this existed until I saw the 99 cents trial packet at checkout. Bought 2 and thought it was worth a try since my hair holds some color/tints, but not very well since it has a crazy porosity level. Tried this for my natural hair extensions before adding the Beyond the Zone Turquoise semi-perm. dye. Works well but has to really be worked in or outcome is streaky and shows even on a level 9 pre-bleached extension.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Instructions say spray in? How do you use this stuff?! It's a packet with a substance that feels creamy. How do you *spray* it in? I know there is a larger bottle/spray available, but that doesn't help me figure out how to use this smaller, packet size with cream in it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product i offer this as a seperate service in my salon, It is a wonderfull product, Basicly what it is, is a porosity equaliser, While your hair has many diferent textures from styling it this product will help even out that hair creating a even color application

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unsure This products main purpose, unless I'm mistaken, was to even out your colour so everything was the same tone when your washed your colour out. Unfortunately it didn't do that for me. Now that's not a huge deal as it's not THAT noticeable, and perhaps the product isn't even meant for those with roots of any kind, but it didn't say otherwise. I hope others had better luck with this product!

Will this help stubborn gray coverage?

I know it helps even out dyed vs. virgin hair, but gray is its own horror....I'm assuming not or the description would state that? My grays will only hold dye for a week at most. Thanks!

I think this is only to help with the PH level so the color will distribute evenly. I have grey hair and it is a challenge to color. But, I found a regimen that has helped me. Week 1} I use a protein treatment 3 to 7 day prior to coloring my hair. }On the day that I color, I use a clarifying shampoo to remove product build-up and environmental particles. 3} Then I apply the color and follow-up with Ion color sealer. I don't wash my hair for a week. This allows the color to really absorb the hair shaft. My friend washes her hair 3 days after a color treatment. That's okay, but I like to wait longer. Week 2} On my wash day, I use a moisturizing deep conditioner {without protein in it and no heat} Protein and heat can strip the color and be careful with leave-in products, they tend to have protein in them that can harden the hair. Week 3} Now, I can use a protein conditioner and follow-up with a deep moisturizing conditioner {without protein in it}. I can also use heat as well, but I don't like using heat on my highly porous, thick, curly hair because the heat makes my hair more porous. If you use heat, wait about 5 minutes to let hair cool down before rinsing. Heat opens the cuticles so you want to make sure cuticles are closed and the color isn't leaching too much. Week 4} I use a moisturizing deep conditioner {without protein in it}. I only use hard protein treatments twice a month. Some Protein treatments are only necessary once a month .Always use color-safe products with UV and UB protection. The sun will definitely fade hair color. Any type of heat will fade the hair color so you have to protect your hair with heat protectrion products. And ALWAYS WASH, RINSE your hair with cool water. Make your last rinse as cold as possible. Water is color-treated hair worse enemy so try not to wash your hair too much either. My color lasts about 4 week. If I see signs of color fading I use a cover stick. I know this is a lot, but these tips helped me a lot.

What do you do with the packets?

The instructions state to spray this on clean dry hair. But the packets contain a cream. Why sell this if you can't use it per the instructions?
Asked by: Grandhuff
Just spread the cream through your hair like you would other treatments.
