Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my Favorites Really easy deep conditioner. I have not tried using heat, but I plan to soon. Easy way to get some protein in your hair care routine if you need it. Leaves my hair soft and detangled. Easy to get at a discount. I am planning to look into more of their curl line because I like this product so much. I have 2c/3a hair (mainly 2c from damage).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Staple! I keep this product on deck. I have fine 4c high porosity natural hair and my hair is just naturally fragile. I definitely keep it on for longer than 2 minutes though, 2 minutes won't help me. I leave it in like a regular deep conditioner for about 30 minutes with heat then I follow with a moisturizing deep conditioner. Works miracles. I've been using it for over 2 years and my length retention would not be where it is if I weren't using this product. I use it every other wash day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Should be 5 but the price spiked1 I've used this product for years and really love how it makes my hair feel, but the price has increased significantly since I purchased earlier this year. Luckily there are products I like as well which now cost less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps Restore my Curls I have bleached my hair platinum blonde twice now and the first time, I filed to do a protein treatment so my hair suffered. The second time, I used the two step treatment and it helped after the bleaching to make sure I still have hair on my head but I couldn't do the two step all the time. The process is kind of messy for me. I use that one twice a year now. I use the reconstructor on a weekly basis and I have to say, my hair thanks me for it. The curls are coming back and my hair elasticity is really good. I add it to my deep conditioner instead of using it as a regular conditioner. It is a light enough protein to use on a weekly basis and I love it. My hair feels stronger for sure. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brings damaged hair back to life The APHOGEE Intensive Two Minute Keratin Reconstructor is an excellent product. I have very damaged hair due to bleaching and colouring. This conditioner helps bring back softness, body, shine, and health. Three nights a week I shampoo, apply a generous amount of Olaplex No. 3, put on a shower cap and rinse thoroughly after an hour or two. Then I apply a generous amount of Aphogee Intensive Two Minute Keratin Reconstructor, put the shower cap back on, and sit under a hair dryer for 15 minutes. Next I slather on a deep conditioner, put my shower cap back on, put a couple of towels on my pillow and rinse in the shower the following morning. My hair no longer looks like straw! I've been doing the overnight deep conditioner for a couple of years now. The only other new addition to my hair care regimen is Olaplex 3, which I've began using about 6 months prior to Aphogee. Adding the Aphogee really made a noticeable improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Kept Secret for Naturalistas! I bought this product a few days ago after a near death scare of heat damage. Before buying, I did countless hours of research on repairing the hair and soon discovered the CRUCIAL importance of balancing moisture and protein for natural curls (3c hair). I had recently gotten a blowout treatment from a Dominican hair salon & the amount of heat was intense!! Needless to say my curls had undergone some serious stress and was desperately in need of major TLC. I picked this product up (+ ApHogee's Green Tea & Kerain Reconstructor Leav-in - AMAZING together). After a co-wash my curls never came back until I realized that I needed to do an actual shampoo to remove the silicones left over from the heat protectant products I was using during my blowout. Before using, I went through a serious of steps: ACV rinse, shampoo, then THIS and followed with a deep conditioner and styled! LET ME JUST TELL YOU NOW, this will forever change your life & the way you see the benefits of protein in your hair. My curls sprung back to life!!! My hair was incredibly SMOOTH, SILKY AND SO MUCH STRONGER. Wonderful WONDERFUL product.

how often can you use product?

Asked by: mz Lisa J
Product instructions state weekly use is recommended.  I have long hair that is color-treated and of medium coarseness.  I use it twice a week without problems of buildup or heaviness/added weight to the hair.

I have some straight pieces at the top of my head and on both sides.. will this bring back my natural curl ??

Asked by: Adrianna90
think of this as more of a deep conditioner. if your hair is really damaged to the stage that you've lost curls, I recommend their two step protein treatment. you can then use this as a refresher a few weeks afterwards.

Will this help my alopecia

Asked by: Jacquely
Hi no this will only help the hair. To treat alopecia you will need to see a tricologist and a professional hairdresser. Hope that helps.

Is this recommended for clients who have recently had a keratin treatment applied to their hair?

Asked by: Sash
No!!! This is NOT for hair that has been treated with a KERATIN treatment. You will overproteinize your hair and it will become very dry and brittle!! You need moisture only! No protein for 6 months after a keratin treatment! I am a licensed Cosmetologist and I am also certified in Brazilian Keratin Treatments. After these treatments your hair needs moisture, moisture, moisture! A good hair oil is also needed.

My hair have thinned and balded in the top. I have been taking Biotin for over 2 years now, and see hair growth, but not in the thin area, which is the crown of my head. Will a reconstructor thicken and grow the hair? Thanks

Asked by: Muffin67
No, the reconstructor feature is for the individual hair shafts to smooth dry, damaged hair, not to help grow in thinning hair from the root. The only thing that might help your crown hair would be using women's minoxidil rubbed into the scalp daily.
