Additional Information

  • Features liquifuse technology
  • Gentle, extra mild toner
  • Evenly pre-lightens hair

Wella Color Charm Permanent Liquid Hair Toner with liquifuse technology is ideal for creating pure double process blonde hair color results. The extra mild formulation gently and evenly removes brass tones to achieve a perfect blonde every time.
Pre-lighten the hair to desired level before applying toner. Mix 1 part Wella Color Charm toning color with 2 parts 20 volume Wella Color Charm developer. Apply to towel dried hair then, develop for up to 30 minutes. Check frequently to see if desired results are achieved.
You can customize the toner formula by intermixing shades. For example, if you want a shade that is in between an ash tone and a warm tone, try mixing equal parts of T-18 and T-14 with equal parts of T-11 or T-35.

Wella Color Charm Permanent Liquid Hair Toner 4.7 5 6 6
Changed my life!! T18 just changed my life, no exaggeration. My natural hair is dark ash blonde, and I've been coloring it for 20+ years. A couple of years ago I decided to start letting the professionals handle my color as I was never able to get it blonde-but-not-brassy on my own, and after wasting tons of time and hundreds upon hundreds of dollars, I realized that the pros couldn't give me a lighter ash blonde either. I wandered into Sally and the girl there handed me the bottle of T18, a bottle of level 10 developer, and sent me on my way. I was nervous about trying it but I am SO glad I did!! I used the whole bottle of toner, mixed it with the level 10 developer in the recommended 2:1 ratio, let it process for 20 minutes, and miraculously, I now have ash blonde hair!!!!! I have literally never been this happy with my hair color. Ever. A couple of notes: - I used level 10 developer per the suggestion of the Sally associate, not the 20 that it recommends on the box. I am not platinum blonde, but medium blonde with some highlights, and I didn't want the lift that the level 20 would've provided. - Watch the processing time!! I've seen other reviews that warn that your hair may actually turn purple if you leave it on too long, and I totally believe it. The toner was a VIBRANT purple on my hair after 20 minutes when I washed it off, and there are pieces of my hair that are walking a fine line between ash and lilac (I'm fine with that). I'm glad I washed it off when I did. My hair is quite dry/damaged, though, so maybe that made it suck up the color quickly. - My hair felt crispy, like it usually does post-coloring, as I was washing the toner out, so I used my Tigi Pro Reconstructing Mask and followed that with a deep conditioner. Besides being ash blonde (!) now my hair feels like silk too! Hope this helps! I totally recommend giving this a try if you're struggling with brassiness! June 7, 2015
Wella T18 toner Great product !! Easy to apply , wonderful color, leaves hair soft. May 17, 2015
Great Product I used this after I bleached my hair. The top of my hair from the roots to about three inches down was that nasty brassy color while the rest of my hair was the platinum blonde that I wanted. I picked this up and used 30 volume developer using a 1:2 ratio (1 part color to 2 parts developer). It worked like a dream. My hair is now one color and it isn't brassy orange at all. I would use this again and tell everyone I know about it as well! April 10, 2015
Not as light as I thought I lifted my hair color to the lightest shade possible, and I thought this toner would help it turn an ashy platinum/white, but it is more of a pale beige, much darker than I wanted but there are minimum brassy tones. If you're trying to go very light I would suggest looking into a different shade. I debated using the T18 instead of the T14, and now I'm thinking I should have used the T18 to get the results I wanted. March 24, 2015

My hair gets very brassy whenever I dye it any brown shade and even ash brown. Will this help give my brown hair an ashy tone or is this only for blondes? If so, are there any recommendations for brunettes to rid brassiness? Thanks.

I got an ombre done a few weeks ago. After a few washes the brown top turned orange while the bottom was a brassy yellow. Can I use the T18 toner on my hair? I'm aware it may look uneven but as long as it isn't brassy I'm okay with that.

Yes it should be fine as long as you put it on evenly the brassiness will go away
It doesn't matter if you have ombre as I do and I use the t18 it my top part is just darker with no brassy tones and the bottom is close to platinum

I have very yellow-gold hair at the moment (after bleaching my hair over the course of months) but my natural color is dark brown so I have been using 30 volume developer. Would that work with this toner or should I use a 20 volume developer instead?

I have been looking for a toner that would give me the same results I was getting with the Clariol Sheer blonde toner that I was using and they don't make anymore. With that toner you used 2oz.(1/4 cup) of Developer with the toner and applied and left it on 15 min. max. I was wondering about the ratio of developer. How much per 1 bottle of toner do you use exactly? 30 minutes for a toner? - -do you really have to leave on that long? I've heard about people getting purple hair from this toner- is that true? Are the results as grayish as the sample pictures?

Mix 2:1 and 15 minutes is usually long enough after bleaching... And 30 min may give you violet hair... But it fades to a nice platinumin a day or two. The T14 gave me a gray look, darker than I wanted. I'm trying the T18 again today hoping for the light platinum I had in the past with it.
