Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright red!!! Heard good things about this in magenta. Tried it today and love the results. Most of my hair was dark blonde but dark brown roots. The color turned out bright red with pink undertone (even roots). Wish i had known about this before, love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice color..just bleeds to much I put this color in mu hair 3 weeks ago and I am still washing it out. However, the color is beautiful and compliments my skin tone well. Ive gotten soooo many compliments from people also. The only thing, Im not happy with washing it out every wash day. Ive never experienced this with any color ever used.. Maybe its the brand, my hair texture or...umm idk.. I will be opting for another brand that doesnt come out every wash when its time to do a touch up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!!’ The best hair color ever!!!!! I’ve been dying my hair this color for awhile and I have no problems with it. I use 1 tube with 10 developer and leave it on for 30mins and I get a great color it’s so red. Mine is turning pink bc before I did this color I was platinum blonde and dyed it brown and than I starting using the L’Oréal color at first I was using 30 developer now I’m down to 10 developer I don’t want it to get more pink but I get a lot of compliments on it. It’s so easy to dye. It does stain so be careful. The only disappointing thing is that it does fade fast so try not to wash it as much ( I use red shampoo and conditioner). But other wise it’s so worth it!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing color!! This is the ONLY color I have used for like 3 years straight. Its safe on my hair, which is natural and dark black (well it use to be LOL). It gives me a bright red color. I normally use 30 developer with it. Man, I hope they keep this color around forever! lol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Color!! Minimal Fade After so many positive reviews, purchased item and colored my hair with equal parts of red, magenta and 30 developer. My hair was a darkish purple, and voila, thirty minutes later I was a bright redhead!!! Touched up roots after six weeks, minimal fade!! So long to awful box dyes and costly salon visits!!' Very happy

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What did I do wrong? I have dark brown natural AA hair. I bought red fire and copper red along with a 20 dev. I used it on my hair and two bundles that had ombré copper. I was going for a blood orange kind of color but nothing happened. It lightened my roots a little but nothing else, andy bundles turned kind of maroon at the ends. I put the dye all over and let it sit for about 20mins.If I try to redye it and only use red fire will it come out correctly? Should I buy a 30dev? How little long should I wait to try again?

Hey so I wanna try this magenta color but I had bleached my hair back in may and I dyed it again for a red but the red didn't catch so now it's just like a light light  brown. I'm wondering if I use this dye will it catch or will it affect my hair?

Asked by: Alanna101
i mix magenta and true violet..the true violet kinda kicks the magenta down a little but stilllooks awesome. in my non proffessional opinion i belibe using just magenta dependint on the level of developer, it will be sorta bright

do you need to use the loreal brand developer with this hair color? I have developer at home and would rather not buy more if its not necessary.

Asked by: maddiecasey1234
No, I use my salon care developer and the color came out perfect.

I have medium brown hair, I wanted to dye it a crimson color, what color would I do this without it being pink, I tried years ago and it would turn out an eggplant color. Thanks

Asked by: Jrsygrl8
Magenta. The magenta might make it a bit light for your purposes but I definitely wouldn't call it pink by any means, but that is the colour I use on my medium brown hair. My hair is very prone to going orange though, so I need to offset that with the more pink/purply tones. I find that the HiColor Highlights seem to work so much better than the other brands and even the regular L'Oreal HiColor ones. I've also been known to mix a good dose of the magenta with one of the non-highlight colours to get something a bit deeper. Definitely recommend the product, it might take a bit of tweaking to get the perfect colour you want.

My extensions was dyed jet black months ago in may, so recently i colored it with magenta & let it sit for 2 hours, Then I applied bleach, Next day I applied an auburn brown color dye, it didnt come out as bright, would it be safe to bleach it again?

Asked by: Tiamjk96
Normally with dark hair you shouldnt have to bleach the extensions . I never used bleach before . I literally just recently dyed my bundles magenta . I used 4 boxes and I just mixed some 40 delevoper with it and start dying the bundles . I let them sit overnight and they came out to my expected color . I was looking for a burgundy.

I have box colour in my hair right now, it didn't come out as I wanted it. Can I use this now or do I need to strip my hair?

Asked by: Tcarlson
No! What ever you do, don’t strip your hair unless you have black color on it. Try not to use box color. If you have a shade from a light brown and up I would put this color on. Or if you want to lighten it up with out damaging your hair, use equal parts of hair bleach and shampoo wash it in the shower for 10 min or so to lighten it up. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I'm naturally a level 4/5 I have a little faded magenta on the bottom. I've been Ariel red before and I'm looking to get back to that. I was thinking of using 40 vol on the ends with red then use 3/4 red with 1/4 magenta 30vol on my natural. Thoughts?

Asked by: Starkey0224
Honestly I've only used red with 30 volume and I've gotten the intensity I wanted. I didn't use or never have used 40 volume due to the damage it could do to your hair. This last time when I colored my hair I used 30 volume with the red along with a color booster and color retainer in which will make the color last longer and also helps to keep hair from being damaged too much.

Hi I have dark brown hair I've dyed my hair a light auburn red but it did not come out light more of a dark Auburn. If I use this dye will it work? I'm going for a red color?

Asked by: Chtistine
Yes but it also depends on the volume developer you use I have naturally dark brown/black hair and I use a 30 developer and it works great.
