Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 524 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Coverage is great but the fumes are horrible . my bathroom isn't exactly well ventilated so I understand they will be more severe in this case however I went outside while dyeing and still could not stand them. They need to alter the formula to avoid such strong fumes. April 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a word of warning to others that normally use 6R Light Auburn not to use Mousse Absolue 654 Light Auburn Brown and think your results will be similar to what you are used to. My result is a color darker than Dark Auburn. I will need to go to a professional to have my color corrected. I love the results of my regular shade 6R Light Auburn but the results of the Mousse Absolue, though shines and would be beautiful for someone looking for this dark color, is several shades darker than a light auburn. Rated 5 out of 5 by If you're looking for a unique hair color without the hair salon price this is the brand for you.It lighten up your roots perfectly with beautiful different highlights. It's getting harder to find in store, please don't discontinue it !! April 2, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by I have been home coloring my hair for over 5 years. I have tried several brands but L'Oreal seems to be the best at covering my grays. I am a natural brunette and often use medium brown shades. I decided to try the new Cool Darkest Brown. I was nervous at first that it would be too dark against my fair skin. I was VERY pleased with the color. It seemed very natural and I have received multiple compliments on it. It's been just over 3 weeks and the grays around my hairline and temples are starting to show but this seems to happen no matter what I try. The one negative for me was that the application process seemed messier than usual. I had many drips during application that fell on my face, clothes, counter, even the floor. I always put a towel around me and wear old clothes. Thank goodness I did otherwise they would have been ruined for sure. That is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4. March 23, 2016

My hair is naturally a chocolate brown color and stupidly I died over it with a color called truffle and it made my hair PURPLE. I went to a salon to have it toned down and it turned into a red or orangey color so then I dyed over it with a golden brown and I just want dark brown hair back any ideas?

Changing from red

I wanted to change to a brown color and get away from the brassiness of red. Was advised to try Red Penny. I did so reluctantly because it was still in the red family. I'm still in the what I consider the bright red hair family. Is there anyway I could possibly go to a lighter brown?? Just had enough of the Red. Really don't want to have to strip my hair if I don't have to.. What would happen if I did Med. Blonde over the Red?? I know I have to be careful of the base colors..
I really appreciate your help and answering so quickly.. As you can probably guess I am the one that wrote about using Ion 6rv and it was suggested using Red Penny..
Realize that I have to wait a bit, but just to know there's light at the end of the tunnel helps..
Thank you!!

I've been using Ion 6rv on my hair for about 6 months. I want to change color and get rid of the brassiness and calm down the red. Want to go to Brown but not a dark brown.. Would like a medium to light.. Must say was blonde for many years felt like I needed a change. Must have lost my mind and went to red.. And a dark one at that!!
My dream is to eventually go back to blonde.. Using Ion has dried my hair out even using their conditioner for dry hair. I color my hair about every 6 weeks because the Grey pops thru..
Would appreciate any help.. Thank you for your time..

Yes, my real color is deep black and I used to use L'Oreal Preference to change my real color to a total blonde.
