Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'm a little disappointed in "virgin snow" From the description of the product as a "toner" that would tone down brassiness, I thought it would help with the ends of my blondish hair. But I saw no effect at all. Perhaps my hair type is not suited, or perhaps it only works on bleached hair? To the question, "would you recommend to a friend?" Only if I knew it was suited to their situation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good color :-) I purchased 2 Ultra Violet about a month ago & used it for the 1st time yesterday ... the color is really nice; more than expected -- hope it is a lasting color

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not effective this dye is arguably the least effective hair dye I've ever used. I left the color on for about an hour on bleached (brassy, not white) hair. it gave my hair what was actually a nice rose gold tint, but that only lasted for a few days and was nothing near the "amplified" pink I was expecting.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A let down First off don't follow the directions it just washes out faster. More in being disappointed is when washing color off on gloves and they turned HOT PINK. I rather have another color then pink. Now I don't wash my hair every day every 3 days but the color washed out in 2 washes and turn pink. If had wanted pink I would of ordered that. The bottle has lasted the 3 times I used it but my hair is not long either. I got enough for one more color but I won't be ordering this brand I might go back to the brand I first used at lest it lasted 4 weeks unlike the 2 weeks I have gotten so far. This last time I didn't follow the directions and went with what I thought was best fo far 2 weeks and 3 washes some fading but not as bad as it went the first 2 times. Plus this color did nothing in condtioning my hair it just made feel real dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use, good color I bought the manic panic snow white to brighten my permanent hair color which I had done professionally about 4 weeks before. The color is easy to use and definitely lifted my color. It said to use it for 30 minutes which I did, but I think I could have left it a little longer to get it a whiter blonde. I'd purchase again (but in store, as shipping was very slow)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hit or Miss I've gotten several different colors from this brand, and some, like Ultraviolet, have lasted a good month before needing refreshing while others, like Cotton Candy, have washed out COMPLETELY after 2 washes. Darker, bluer colors are the way to go with this brand, but I prefer Ion Brights or Arctic Fox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE Used Pillarboxred on my brothers bleached hair. It is amazing and super bright! He washes his hair a lot, but it has lasted soooooo long! Highly recommend! The picture is from over a month after dyeing it and it still looks very vibrant!

Does it COMPLETELY wash out of hair in a couple of weeks???

Asked by: flowerb1
Not Completely. If you want to get the color out completely I suggest a bleach lightening wash. ! part bleach 1 part shampoo apply to hair to until desired lift is achieved then rinse.

salon attempted to give my hair some deep puprle underneath my dark brown hair. turned out light lavendar? Can I apply this myself over my bleached lavender hair, don't think my stylists is familiar with color change too much. I can try to fix.

Asked by: elliepurple
yeah, you should definitely be able to apply over your hair. it's really gentle, but it stains really fast so be sure to wear gloves. it won't damage your hair, it actually makes your hair feel and look really nice (shiny and soft) make sure you vaseline your face, neck, and ears so the dye doesn't stain your skin, and wash you hair in cold water for best results :)

Would I need to bleach my hair in order to use the midnight blue? My hair is dark brown with grey and some left over red from the last time I dyed it

Asked by: Poookiee
I would recommend you do so. I have found that with my dark brown hair, the color does faintly show for a few days but after a week of washing, it fades. If the red is really faded, it won't really be a problem until about three or four weeks later when the color is done and it has left an uneven shade of a couple different colors. It can be a pain, but bleaching is the best way to go if don't want these things that have happened to me from experience in the long run. Also, if you end up taking my advice, remember to take care of your hair and use the repair shampoo. Hope this helped. :)

Will the envy green look good on a darkkskined person

Asked by: MicahTreadwell99
I definitely think so. I think it washes out someone with a pale skin tone but I think it would look super exotic on someone with a dark tone.

Does the amplified work better & really last longer? & I need opinions on the color cotton candy TIA

Asked by: SilverWolf
While I have heard that yes, the Amplified does last longer than the regular Manic Panic line, all i can say based on personal experience is that in order to get the cotton candy color to come out right, you really, really do have to bleach your hair as light as possible. You probably already know that bit, but just thought I'd throw that out there, since that was my mistake when trying this color out! Mine wasn't nearly as bleached/toned as it needed to be, so it wasn't even noticeable. So I can't attest to how much longer it lasts from experience, but I have heard that it does have a little better staying power from others who use it. I'd say try it! Should turn out awesome, as long as it goes on pretty much white hair. Good luck!

I have medium brown hair. Do I need to bleach it for the Purple Haze to show up?

Asked by: tegaukin
It really depends on how dark your hair is. Everyone has a different definition of what 'medium brown' would be, but our experience with the Purple Haze was that it fairly vibrant with my daughter's hair. She had been dying for a while, so had a few other Manic Panic colors for it to cover, and her base is a light to medium brown to begin with. The purple covered well, but the lighter you begin with, the brighter you will end up with. The whole reason we go with Amplified is that it shows up better and lasts longer. I say give it a test on one lock, but you should be fine. Especially if you use heat while waiting.
