Rated 5 out of 5 by from manic panic I have dyed my hair with many of manics colors. they always turn out great yes you have to bleach. the darker the color the less bleaching. the color lasts long if you was it about every 2 or more days with dry shampoo in between. when washing use salfite free shampoo and no hot water. below are a few of the colors i have done

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes, great for beards! Have a white beard, very easy to use. Very easy to maintain. I think I will try a blue next time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Manic Panic Purple Haze I have used two other colours from Manic Panic in the past and loved them . However this one, not so much. The colour bleeds EVERYWHERE. I have ruined so much clothes because of this one colour. I did use an after colour sealer and it still bleeds even if my hair is completly dry. I don't know if it's this specific one, I have used Ultra Violet and Hot Hot Pink and did not have this problem. I do love the colour, but because it has caused me to ruin so much clothes, I do not recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love! I used atomic turquoise on my hair a few days ago and I’m in love with how it came out, i also mixed it with some blue steel. Manic panic always has the best fashion dyes .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I bought cotton candy pink. I have really really short hair so I don't need to wash it everyday and literally the color lasted a week and a half and it doesn't glow under black light like it says on the jar. Very disappointed. Will be going back to my other hair color.

will it turn a gray beard white for santa season

Asked by: Curtz123
Nope, Manic Panic can not lighten hair by itself. That can only be achieved with a lightening agent.

will this work on light brown hair. how long will it last?

Asked by: hairdyelover267
It’ll stay vibrant for maybe a month but the color won’t fade 100% you’d have to bleach it out or use a color remover. Either way on brown hair it’ll more like tint it won’t look very vibrant unless you lighten it.

I want to dye my hair white after a mistake that left my hair light blue, will I be able to use the white color?

Asked by: Olguita2
I doubt it. you'll probably have to bleach it or use some kind of color remover. I used the one from one n only, but it didn't work too great for me. You could also do the vitamin c/dish soap method but I wouldn't suggest that unless you have a super awesome conditioner (I use novex). Toners (if you're asking about virgin snow) are usually for lifting orange/brassy tones out of hair, not color. however, this also depends on how porous your hair is. Mine grabs onto blues but not so much reds. If you'd really like to use it, you'd probably be better off trying any purple shampoo (the kind designed "for blondes", but all those do is tone hair).  You'd probably be able to find one of those for much cheaper and at a greater quantity.  Good luck! Blue is a hard one to get out!  Also, if your hair is originally a light color and you decide to bleach (also if the blue is super faint) use a 10 level developer with it. Don't use the highest amount right away or you'll damage your hair

I have a light brown to medium brown hair. I need my hair a darker purple for a costume I'm wearing and wondering if I'd need to bleach my hair or if I could just go over the color I have?

Asked by: DebbieSc
Yes. If you want to be able to really see the purple you will have to bleach your hair to a pale yellow. Otherwise the purple might just make your hair look dark brown and also might only show the purple in sunlight. If it's just for a costume, I would recommend using something like a temp spray color instead. Not sure how well those work since I've never used them but it would spare you the time and damage of bleaching.

What's the difference between Green Envy and Enchanted Forest? Looking for a color that's closer to black, but vibrant green in sunlight.

Asked by: Lnjs1927
Enchanted forest is more of a dark teal. Not sure about green envy, as I've never tried it

Is bleach required ?

Yes, if you want any kind of decent coverage. Also, add gray drops if you are trying to cover hair with gray in it.

I dyed my hair yesterday at the salon and it’s not the exact color I want and I am looking more for a brighter red than the burgundy/red I have now. Can this dye over what I have now and make it brighter and am I able to put it on my hair the next day?

Asked by: Shorti02
It is safe to put it over your hair the next day after coloring because this only deposits color so it is not damaging to your hair. This can make your red brighter depending on the color you choose and the color you have in your hair but it won't make it lighter.
