Rated 3 out of 5 by from Two shades in this that should not be discontinued I've learned that the Mega Blondes by Loreal are being discontinued. I can most definitely see why some of the shades are being canned, but I am sad to see the MB8 Lightest Cool Pearl Blonde and the MB6 Lightest Cool Ash Blonde going too. Those two shades had "Extra Toning", which is why they produced a real color effect on the hair. If anyone is aware of another shade nearly identical to MB8 Lightest Cool Pearl Blonde, please let me know. This was a very soft shade of blonde, that definitely had a cool pearl tone to it. Loreal, please don't discontinue your best two shades in this line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to color L'Oreal Preference Medium or Dark Blonde has been my product of choice since I began coloring my hair to cover grays at 35. My sister suggested it since it was her favorite. This product makes my hair feel the healthiest, color lasts the longest and looks natural. I will 60 very soon and this is the color I continue to use! My best testimonial is that I was asked where I had my colored ( I used L'Oreal Touch on Highlights also) at a posh Boston salon where I was styled for a wedding!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Time I Dyed My Own Hair I am a natural redhead more deep red with copper under tones. So, a year ago I needed to start having roots colored. I was not happy, but I know red is very difficult. This week I did my own. YES MAM!! I used Loreal Superior Preference # 6AB Warmer Forever Rouge. I love it!!! I did color all of hair. Beautiful result, I m truly amazed and so happy. Never had this from my stylist. It truly 100% about the product. Thank You so much Loreal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Color I found Preference Caramel Gold Brown by chance and I Love It. What I love about it is how it works with my gray hair. It lightens my color to an ash blond and doesn't hold to my grays well so it gives it even more of a shine. For my husband to say he likes it and he is not for hair coloring, I know I have a good thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Conditioner =Love I've bought this and Feria many times. I like both products, as all hair color, if you never stray from your hair type, results are pretty good. I need warm gold tones. My real love is the conditioner. I want to buy the preference conditioner with camellia oil. Is it available?

I love the Mega Blonde color, but the Mega Blonde Developer has been unavailable for many months.  Why?  Are you going to carry it again, as it's been unavailable for so long, it appears not.  Do you recommend a substitute?

Asked by: Frustrated still
Hello there. I use the Mega Blond color successfully with the L'Oreal 20 Volume Developer. It may be the difference with the developers is only the label!!!

What happened to Pearl Blonde in Mega Blondes Has it been renamed? It was a great color

Asked by: Quackie 649
Mega Blonde (MB6) was discontinued along with MB7. I really liked Pearl Blonde as well and had used it for years. I called L'Oreal and they suggested MB 1, Natural Blonde, and it is pretty close. The MBs won't cover gray or silver but they do a great job of lightening brown hair and then the gray or silver just acts as a highlight. Hope it works for you.

After applying, how long should I leave it on my hair?

Asked by: LauraMiller
I do two things different from the instructions: Instead of 30 or 40 minutes, I keep the dye on my hair for about 50 minutes to get the full effect of the color.  I also do NOT use #40 developer, as instructed (it turns my hair white); I use #20 developer and it turns my hair the perfect shade of blonde.  I hope this helps.

Does this dry your hair? Or has bleach?

I'm asking because I wanna do an ombré but I don't want to damage it from bleach or anything that would make it dry
