Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love L'Oreal Preference-packaging issue I've been using Superior Preference 9 1/2NB for 20 years to keep my hair the color it was when I was young. It lasts, is never brassy, and leaves my hair very soft. But, the lid on the conditioner is so tight, it's a struggle to get it off when first opened, especially with wet hands. Why can't they put ridges or wings on the lid?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turned my hair gray So I used shade 6 (Light Brown) yesterday and it made my hair super gray. you can tell especially in the light, it looks almost all gray and no brown. I haven't given up on this line of products yet though because I purchased shade 5 (medium brown) and I'm hoping it will fix it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product I bought this product a couple days ago, and finally decided to do my hair this morning, and I am not happy with the results!! I am a dark blonde and bought the superior preference mousse absolue in the new shade 800 pure medium blonde.. I mostly just wanted to cover my greys, it covered absolutely 0 !!! All it did was turn my roots orange!! Ughhhh!! Not happy at all with this product, an absolute waste of money!! Anyone thinking about using this product DON'T! !! IT'S HORRIBLE! !! I WILL NEVER BUY LOREAL PRODUCTS AGAIN!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from From natural blonde to "Cool light brown" huh? I am naturally blonde and in winter i sometimes use a darker color hair dye. I usually stick with clairol nat instincts but this time decided to take a leap.....with Loreals "cool brown"......not cool at all. I now have reddish hair. Which is the reason i bought the cool color in the first place. I was trying to avoid red tones. Sorry Loreal. Will never buy again and will tell everyone i know not to buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not cover any grey I bought this yesterday. I have never used hair dye before and I thought this sounded so easy. I did 2 areas underneath so I could see how close it was to my color and to see if it covered the grey. It looks the same as befor I dyed it. I waited 1/2 hour and rinsed and used the conditioner that comes with it. I cant see where there was any grey coverage at all. I am going to try to take it back to the store. I did notice that the box was open and it did say 11/2015 on it. So is it possible it was old?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hated it. This was the worst smelling hair color I have ever used. I will not be using it again. I have to use 2 boxes because I have very long hair. That means I'm out about $20. It smelled so bad I had to leave the bathroom and go outside. When I came back in I dumped it down the drain then rinsed the bottles out and threw them in the trash.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 100% gray cover how about 0% Colored my hair on Saturday with light as brown, my natural color. I have spotty gray and larger block of gray at my front. This did not cover my gray at all. The only reason I notice any color at all is because of the 1/4 inch root growth. I followed the directions to the letter. Not impressed. A 28 day color last much longer and covers gray.

will this be good for gray color?

Asked by: bglopezz
One brand I've used that's given excellent gray coverage is Age Beautiful. They have radiant colors to choose from specifically made for gray coverage.

I loved the color when I saw the hair sample,  would it be better to lighten my hair and then go over to get the desired color as it's a dark brown already but I've been thinking about this color for a month now idk

Asked by: kendrast
If you have not colored your hair ever you will get the desired color results, but if you had treated your hair and the dark brown isn't yours naturally you might need lighten your hair first to get the expected color you want.

Can I mix L'Oreal Preference Med Golden Brown 5.3 with Mega Brown Truffle BR6?

I would like to try to mix these two colors say 1.5 oz MGB with 1/2 oz of the BR6. What would you suggest?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes as long it is the same brand and you are using the brands developer as well. To deposit always use 10vol developer.

How much color should I buy

I have hair that is just below my shoulders. Not thick hair but I do have a lot of it. Will 1 bottle of color and 1 bottle of developer be enough? Also, how much warmth is there to this color?
