Best Ever Used This is my first time trying out this relaxer...and I have to say I absolutely love it... I have long thick hair that gets really tangled at the roots..for this product it was not a problem at all...I saw less shedding of hair and breakage...It truly feels like I just stepped out of the salon without the salon price...it's nice and silky leaves your hair feeling great...and actually looks like what's on the front of the box for a change..lol July 16, 2010
After reading all of the reviews I decided to try out this relaxer. What a mistake that was! I did not like this relaxer at all. It left build up on my hair and now my hair has a very rough, brittle feel and look to it. It is not smooth or silky. This is the first and last time I will use this relaxer. HATED IT December 5, 2013
Great relaxer, however a warning... I've used this a couple of times over the years with good results, and wanted to come on and confirm another review on here that if your hair feels overprocessed and hard to brush the next day you just get a clarifying/anti-residue shampoo! (I used Neutrogena's and it worked fantastically.) I was a bit worried that I had fried my hair even though it had been over a year and a half since my last use, but it was just build up so I'm glad I looked at these reviews in detail. Like her I also shampooed quite a few times to avoid this, but it still happened. This is a great relaxer otherwise, but I'm giving 4 stars just because I'm sure this has led to other people accidentally cutting off hair they didn't need to by thinking it was fried from the residue. The reason it had been so long since I used it was because I thought I fried it last time too, when looking back now I probably just had build up, argh! Also, a warning: While its tempting do not apply this within a few months of your last one/onto already relaxed hair, or go longer than suggested processing time. If you do then you're really at risk for frying it! This stuff is very effective, so don't underestimate it. Would recommend making sure to put the gel on your scalp too if you're at all sensitive, since it can leave a pretty bad burn otherwise. (I have bad scalp from frequent dandruff battles though, so healthy scalp probably doesn't have as much to worry about.) March 16, 2013
Best one I've Had I have used relaxers for at least 20 years. over the years i have done so much damage to my hair because of it, . for the last 10 years or so, my hair has continued to get thinner and thinner. My hair always came out in BIG chunks. This is the 1st one I used that , that did NOT happen I was soo happy. and my hair wasnt tangled. for those who said their hair fell out, my only advice is make sure you RINSE your hair thoroughly before you shampoo, and especially african american hair , we have to wash it about 4 times to get a thorough wash. to Everybody reading this: this is a great relaxer!!
