Rated 5 out of 5 by YES!! Will continue to use when I want to add color to my hair. Love it. Read the usage tip they are on point. If you use shampoo/conditioner it will bleed/stain..but still worth it..I have med. length hair I'm African american and I still have a lil more than a half full bottle.. I mix mine with conditioner when I apply ... work wonders... July 21, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by It has some problems It's definitely not the best dye out there, but it's also not the absolute worst. I've used this dye several times when I couldn't find a color I liked in my go-to dye (Ion) and it's been okay. Not great though. The colors are pretty vibrant (I've used twisted teal and feisty fuchsia) and they do last, as long as you wash your hair with cold water, use a dye friendly shampoo, and bleach your hair, which is good enough for some people, but there are cons to this. Firstly, the dye gets everywhere. Literally everywhere. Even when you think you've washed all of it out, you really haven't. If you scratch your head, your fingernails will turn whatever color your hair is. If you sleep on a light colored pillow, it's going to change color because of this hair dye. No matter how well you washed it out, it will get on everything. The dye itself is also very messy. Don't wear clothes you like while coloring your hair with this (I wear an old button up shirt I got from my dad). The colors also start out pretty dark when you first apply them, especially the darker colors. I dyed a friends hair with the purple plum (she wouldn't let me use a different dye) and it came out black at first. She freaked out a little bit, as one might when they get a hair color they didn't want, but after a few washes it became a dark purple, although it was still a little too dark for her liking as it was verging on the edge of black. So with darker colors, be careful of how long you leave it in for. To summarize, it's alright. Use it if you really like the color, but be wary of how messy it is and how deceiving it can be at first. June 23, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by It's called N Rage 'cause it will infuriate you. I wanted purple hair. I now have black hair. BLACK!! The blackest of the black. The only thing that turned purple was the cup that I soaked my comb in. Even my fingernails turned blue. This is also THE MESSIEST coloring process I have ever experienced. While I was in the throes of the nightmare, I figured I could justify the hassle if it actually made my hair purple. But I am stuck with pitch black hair that is bleeding blue onto everything and I will be finding remnants of this experience for months to come. This was my worst hair coloring experience EVER and I have been coloring my hair for 20 years. NEVER AGAIN. May 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Incredible I used the color twisted teal. Incredible. I had purple before, then when I lightened and bleached, it was a bright pink. Neon pink almost. I decided to go with it, see what would happen, and it was perfect. just the color I wanted. Twisted Teal. I'm doing a friends hair later on and I will most likely be using this. March 28, 2015

A:
No. Most color is meant for already processed hair or naturally light.

I went swimming 3 days after the initial dye and it faded quite a bit (as I knew it would). I re-dyed the faded color and the results were amazing! I don't think re-dying or doing touch-ups change the color.

Purple plum wont show its purple unless you have a VERY light shade of blonde. And even then at first it will hardly show as purple. For me it was not untill like 5 washes that it started fading into a normal purple color. I dont think it will work if you mix it with another dark dye. Now if what you meant is to add it to dark brown hair then no, it wont work.
