Grit wears off right away. Quality crystal files are etched and the grit will never wear away. This one has the grit sprayed on, and on the first use, I wore away a line with my natural nails. March 15, 2015
it's just "okay" This has a coarse, and fine grit. The fine grit wore off after not too much use so I can't even use that part anymore. The glass is thick so it is difficult to shape the sides of my nails with it, I use it mainly to file if I have a big crack or sharp edges on my nail. The coarse grit creates a build up of nail material on the underside of the nail after filing (if that is the correct way of describing it). i.e., it does not create a clean edge at the tip of the nail. note: I have natural nails, that are thin. I probably would not buy this product again. March 6, 2015
Do Not Buy This!!! This is by far the worst nail file I have ever purchased! It is very poorly designed and so huge that it makes it next to impossible to shape the edges of your nails. The crystal wore off after roughly 2 uses on the edges making this file garbage for me after that point as there was no way to use the middle portion of the file due to the size. There are way better files out there, don't waste your money. July 24, 2014
Only Average I was expecting this to last much longer than it has. Granted it's been nine months but the surfaces on all sides are worn to the point where it's unusable. It seems to be just plastic with crystal grain coated on it that wears away very quickly. There are two different grades on it, fine and coarse (which I did not realize for the longest time because it doesn't say that anywhere). The fine grain wore away after only two or three months, the coarse grain is gone now. Would not repurchase, would not recommend. Buy a more reliable one, it may cost more but will last much longer.
