From fragile, thin hair to wavy, thick hair the Jilbere Nano Ceramic Straightening Iron is a professional flat iron that features a combination of Nano Silver Technology with the high heat conductivity of ceramic to deliver state-of-the-art performance with less stress and damage to the hair.
Special features include Nano Silver ceramic plates with advanced surround heat to straighten your hair up to 40% faster, eliminating the damage multiple passes can cause. Nano Silver is known for its antibacterial properties and promotes healthy hair and scalp.
Nano Silver Technology unites micro-particles of ceramic and silver for a unique combination of benefits that create smooth, silky hair and generate negative ions that eliminate frizz and close the cuticle, creating a smooth, glossy shine. Ceramic emits far infrared heat for gentler, faster styling. Nano Ceramic allows hair to glide through the plates effortlessly and fluidly for sleek, shiny results.
The maximum amount of far infrared heat penetrates hair from within and straighten without damaging the hair. A recessed digital ionic LED temperature control with 50 heat settings heats up to 450°F.
Using 1" partings, slowly pass the iron through hair section. The average number of passes to straighten hair differs on hair type.
For fine to normal hair, use 1- 2 passes. For more resistant hair, use 3- 4 passes. For more maximum movement, continue holding the hair at a 90-degree angle throughout the ironing process.
Use a thermal protectant spray designed to work along with your flat iron for lustrous, pin-straight hair.

Great purchase for thick, coarse, Asian hair Before I purchased the Jilbere 1.75" silver flat iron, I owned a much older Jilbere flat iron. That last one was the first nice flat iron I had ever purchased and it was about $100. It lasted me 9 years (and was still working until my two year old broke it into two pieces lol) so I knew a Jilbere was going to be the brand I got this time too. I'm not a hair stylist or anyone with a lot of experience professionally with hair, but I do have experience with my own. I'm half Korean, but other than thick and coarse hair, my hair is not that silky bone straight hair usually associated with the Asian ethnicity. It's also frizzy and with my old Jilbere (due to its age I'm sure), it could take 30-45 minutes to flat iron my hair (even after blow drying with a round brush). This flat iron only requires one run through each chunk of hair and is perfect. I flat ironed my hair the first time I used it in about 15 minutes and was even able to slightly curl the ends. The only downside is that because the iron is thin (like all electronics these days), you do have to hold the end of the flat iron beyond the plates instead of pressing them together at the center because it's just too hot. Flat Iron Iron was perfect in every way except it did not hold my hair tight enough. March 1, 2014
Amazing Best straightener I've ever had. I have the old blue one and I have had it for about 6 years and still works amazing! I have recommended it to multiple friends who have bought it as well. January 28, 2014
Great Flatiron. Great Value. I have purchased so many different flatirons over the years--from $50 to $200 models--and every single one has been a disappointment on some level. Not hot enough, too hot, uneven plates, too damaging, etc. I had given up the idea of straightening my hair using an iron and have been using a blow dryer to do the job instead. Well, I decided to give it one more try with the Jilbere 1.75" model. What a pleasant surprise! It straightens quickly and easily without creating a dried out mess. As reference, I have long blonde (heavily highlighted) hair that is fine, but I have a lot of it, and it's slightly wavy in it's natural state. This iron works well, has a lot of nice features, and is a good value. August 24, 2013
