Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing dye!! I have dark brown hair and I swim and play softball, this dye worked amazing through all that! I had to bleach the area where I dyed it (of course) and only had to redye maybe once a month. To help upkeep the colors I used Argon oil and L'Oreals rosemary mint conditioner for colored hair. Even though dye bled when I showered, it never got on my clothes or bedsheets. I really do recommend these colors for vibrant looks that last!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money I bought this 6 days ago. Followed all the directions carefully and it looked great for 2 days. After two washes it has come completely out. Huge disappointment. Would never buy again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Enchanted Forest I absolutely love the color. However, I hate that this dye will transfer onto everything while it's dry. I've dyed my hair bright colors multiple times with different brands and I've never had a dye bleed all over everything after it's completely dry. I've washed my hair 5 times and for the most part it hasn't faded too badly. It's more green now than it was before, still a nice color though. I understand that bright colors fade quickly and will bleed when wet, but the fact I've mostly co-washed in cold water and tried applying silicone based products on my hair to keep it from bleeding when dry and it hasn't really helped even after 5 washes. Considering this product is supposed to last 6 to 10 washes I would have thought that the constantly bleeding while dry would have ended. It doesn't smell disgusting so that's a plus, but it doesn't smell good either. At least mine didn't. Also this dye is a little on the pricey side when you consider the fact there's other nice brands that are cheaper and do a decent job without the bleeding.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed It should be described as incredibly temporary! Didn't stay in at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Showed up great over light brown hair!! I bought fuschia shock last week and I applied it to my natural light brown hair and left it in a shower cap for for 6 hours then rinsed in cold water and my hair felt so soft and the color came out vibrant now be aware this color changes colors in different lighting so if you don't like that this may not be the dye for you and Everytime you shower your hair will bleed all over everything so be aware of that but this color is very bright even over light brown hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra Violet If you want a rich, vibrant purple, Manic Panic Ultra Violet will do the trick. I have tried many other brands (Directions Violet, One and Only Pure Purple, Ion Lavender, to name a few..) but almost all of them were too pink for me and wouldn't stick well to my roots. I'd end up with orange roots, pink under the roots, then like a dark fuschia (not purple!) everywhere else. Also I have used Manic Panic Ultra Violet on my natural unbleached medium brown hair in the past and it STILL turned out vibrant and awesome. However, if you DO use it on natural, darker hair, make sure you comb it through well, then apply heat for at least 10 minutes. Then put a bag or plastic cap on and let it sit for at LEAST an hour. Otherwise it won't show up well and wash out fast. If your hair is bleached or lightened in any way, don't use the heat. Just let it sit on your hair for at least an hour.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cotton Candy Pink I bought this last Sunday to my freshly bleached and toned snow white hair. After application the color was gorgeous, exactly what I wanted. However, after just one wash with very safe shampoo, the color was almost completely gone. It stuck only to pieces very close to my scalp and not at all to any of the top layer, so it looked like the pink was gone altogether. After long research and deliberation, many people recommended this as the best pink dye. Unfortunately I will not be repurchasing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've always loved MP Virgin Snow I use Manic Panic Virgin Snow to freshen up my white blonde every few weeks. I have light blonde hair naturally and it's very porous so this works so well with my hair while leaving it manageable because it's not harsh. I do have to leave it on for 3+ hours for the effect I want, but good things are worth waiting for!

I have really long, and thick hair and I was trying to decide how many jars should I buy to dye my whole head. I've dip dyed my tips(up to my collar bone) with at least half a jar or less. With that I can get at least 3 uses out of a jar. Any ideas?

Asked by: erinondr
I have thick shoulder length hair and it always takes me about 2 jars. I sometimes have dye left over for touch ups but I would suggest buying at least 3. Hope that helps! It is always good to have some leftover because it does keep well.

What is a maniac mixer?

Asked by: Jennifer 951
I used a conditioner for my mixer. Cheaper and nourishes the hair while the color is processing. Also doesn't allow too much color to be deposited into the hair. Good for subtle color, if that's what the desired effect is.

is the  virgin snow a white color or is it blonde i have light brown hair and i what it to be blonde

Asked by: lialu 11
Manic Panic Virgin Snow is a toner not a bleach. You will need to use bleach to strip and remove the color from your hair. Just in case no one has informed you yet, bleach is a lot if upkeep with the roots. I suggest you find some bleaching tips from YouTube. Guy Tang is someone good to follow that does phenomenal creations with fashion colors. He uses Olaplex to protect the hair so it doesn't take as much damage before and afterwards for reconstructing purposes. Research so you don't end up bald with a bleaching fail. So many things can go wrong! Be safe and best wishes in hopes that you get the end results you desire.

can you mix manic panic with regular conditioner to create a color-depositing conditioner? i have been dying my dark brown hair a blue/black color and have heard color-depositing conditioners are a great way to make the color last longer.

Asked by: denisesara2000
You might be able to. I have heard of people putting it in their shampoo, or just adding a drop of the dye when washing their hair (when you're lathering), since combining the dye with conditioner will lighten the mixture.

I've got a white mustache. Am interested in dying my mustache purple for a sporting event. Caveats and suggestions.

Asked by: wildcat hockey
I say, Go For It! Make sure you put Vaseline all around your mustache on the skin so you don't dye your skin. I'd say to brush it on with a CLEAN mascara brush or a tiny comb so it doesn't soak down to the skin under your 'stache. Just bear in mind that it might not wash out after one wash. It is semi-permanent and might take 7-14 shampoos to come out. Maybe even longer. If you want it only for one day, you might consider a temporary dye that washes out after one wash. Manic Panic is non-toxic and won't hurt you so it has that going for it. If you end up using a temporary, one-use dye, just make sure it's also non-toxic and can be used for facial hair. Hope this helps. Good luck!
