Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color is way too light. The color didn't come out anywhere near the sample they had at Sally's. it was like a super light pink and came out darker in certain spots. F your looking leopard look it'll be good. I'm going to utla on Friday to buy there dye. My daughter bought it and it was beautiful. It was a pinkish purple color and it's lasting pretty good. The darker the color the better it will take. I suggest no e bleaching the same day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Supremely Conditioning Hair Color Great product and works well when used correctly! I gave Virgin Snow a try on hair lightened with Sun-In. I wasn't expecting platinum results, and I ended up with super soft brass free highlights. I have a pixie cut but a ton of hair and ended up using the entire jar for one application, so keep the texture of your hair in mind when purchasing. Also helpful to use a good clarifying treatment before applying to achieve even results!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Faded after 2 washes. I bought Manic Panic because I've heard good things about the staying power of the color and wanted to try something other than the brand I had been using. My hair was prebleached to a yellowy blonde shade with tinges of green left over from when it was purple prior with about an inch of regrowth which is an ashy light brown color. I left the color on for several hours and rinsed with cool water. For the first few days before I washed my hair, the color was AMAZING although it bled slightly but after the first wash I lost at least half of the color. It's been two weeks since I colored and my purple has faded into an odd shade of blue with random patches of violet. I'm really disappointed since I was hoping to get more wear time before I had to retouch considering the cheaper brands I've used before lasted twice as long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dreadlocs and manic panic i absolutely love manic panic . with me having dreadlocs , i could not find a hair dye that actually stayed in my hair and didnt fade quick. the first time I used manic panic , i chose the shade "Vampire Red" ...i had to touch up my color maybe once every two months ? ...i really loved the color and got a lot of compliments on it . The next color im going to dye my hair is "Hot Hot pink" ...hopefully i'll get the same results as i did the first time

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Electric Amethyst Bought this color online because it wasn't available in the Sally stores and applied it to my hair which was light brown to begin with and then bleached using the Manic Panic Flash Lightening 30 Volume. After bleaching, my hair was a level 10 orangey-yellow which was expected because I didn't want to leave the bleach on very long and I was hoping for some reddish undertones anyways. Then I applied 1/2 of the jar straight up and waited 2 hours with heat applied. It wasn't vibrant enough in some spots, so I then reapplied the second 1/2 of the jar and waited another hour. The color turned out amazing! I LOVED it! It was vibrant and I was getting a lot of compliments. I locked the color in with a vinegar wash and bought a good sulfate free shampoo. I washed it 3 times without any color loss and I was thrilled - until we went camping. Unfortunately, one dip in our freshwater lake and my hair had significantly faded. After 3 days of swimming at the beach, my hair faded all the way to a silvery grey color with blue and green streaks. Because I have an ex coming to visit this week, I was unable to order another jar online and because you can't get it in stores, I was forced into buying ultra violet and will dilute to try to fix this quickly. So overall, while I loved it and my hair was soft as a bunny, I wouldn't recommend this unless you have $40 CDN to spend twice a month. Because you can't buy it in stores, you will have to order this one in advance and have it ready to go in case anything happens. It was too much for me, so I'm going to try another solution that I can grab locally.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Washes out after 3 washes This semi-permanent hair dye washes out after 3 washes. I had bleached my hair before using it and it looked great for the first day and fades dramatically after that, very disappointing. I will not be using this brand again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product for bleachers I use this to kill the brass in my bleached hair - after a bleach, my hair is fragile and brassy - I mix a little Manic Panic Ultra violet into the best conditioner I can get and let it set a bit - after rinsing out, my hair is conditioned and no longer brassy - it wears off in a week and must be done every week and especially after bleaching. Sally is a wonderful outlet.

can you use part of the jar and save the rest of the jar for use another time

Asked by: lanabee1
Absolutely! Manic Panic is not like regular hair dye so it doesn't 'process' or have to be mixed.

Why is it NOT recommended for hair more than 10% white? My roots are completely white, when they're not coloured. I want to try Blue Steel .I want my hair to appear silvery white. Please advise. ION Titanium makes it much too dark grey. Thanks

Asked by: scarletttttt
I have no idea why it's not recommended for over 10% white hair. However I use this product on my hair, which is completely white, it turns your hair a blue/silvery/grey colour rather than silvery white. You could try mixing it with some conditioner to lighten it, I used to do that with lie locks manic panic which worked well as a silver colour (just keep in mind it's always going to have the tint of the colour you use in it). Hope that helps.

What do i use to get a bright silver color

I want it silver not grey i dk where to start can u please tell me what i need to get r mix to get this color

If you have access to a professional hairstylist, I would recommend having them use Kenra's Silver Metallic line of color. They also have a Violet Metallic that is a nice ashy color. I would use a level 8 or 9, depending on how you would like it to fade.

How long does this dye last? And does anyone recommend ion semi permanent dye instead, I'm debating between the brands.

Asked by: Cherry225
I would definitely go with manic panic. Ion leaves a weird coating on the hair. Manic Panic also lasts longer and hair dressers use Manic Panic where hair dressers don't use Ion (I have cosmetology license)

How often can I use Manic Panic ( Virgin Snow) to lighten my hair. I ask because I would like to use it every 2 weeks to keep the color fresh. Can I damage my hair?

Asked by: lisailda28
Virgin Snow isn't a lightner, it's a toner for blonde hair. after bleaching hair, it tones the brassiness on light blonde hair. Since it doesnt lighten hair, it does not damage it. It actually acts more like a conditioner. And you can use it every 2 weeks if your hair starts to get yellow.

I want to dye my hair for halloween, but I need the dye to last no more than a week. I want to use red and blue, on the tips of my hair. Is Manic Panic a good choice? My hair is light blonde and it has never been bleached or dyed before.

Asked by: Anonymous11
manic panic is not a good choice. it will last up to 4 weeks, hot topic sells temporary color
