Pibbs Portable Shampoo Bowl 2.9 5 14 17
portable shampoo bowl My sister bought this for me because I go to my clients homes to do their hair. I also work in a salon in a hospital and we go to paitients rooms occassionally and I find this sink very helpful in both circumstances. You just have to know how to use it. If I am in someones home, I usually set up in their kitchen and bring a portable hose that attaches to their sink or use the clients kitchen hose if they have one. In order to drain the water, you have to place the drainage hose in the kitchen sink and put something on top of it or have someone hold it. You have to lift the hose occassionally to help drain the water. In the hospital, i have used the bowl in a shower area and it works great. Don't know what I did before I got this sink. Love it!! portable shampoo bowl The plastic bowl seems very fragile. The bowl does serve its purpose for me, but for the original pricing, I am not sure I would even give an average review. I got the bowl for 50% off so am satisfied with my purchase. October 11, 2014
Not practical Enough The stand is weak, the bowl itself is soft, the hose is not flexible and too light. For the price and the quality this is an epic fail July 9, 2014
Portable shampoo bowl I was so looking forward to receiving this item. The first thing that was wrong was the instruction sheet to assemble shampoo bowl was very light so I could not make out everything so I had to look it up on line to get a clearer picture of the bowl to assemble it. Then as I was assembling it the screws that went on the bottom of bowl to hold it, screwed into the bowl itself and would scratch you while doing a shampoo. The last straw was when I went to actually use the shampoo bowl the water started dripping from underneath the bowl. I got a trash can and had the hose drain into that to see if it would stop the dripping and it did for a minute and then continued. I was so disappointed. I turned the bowl over and tried to screw the screws in tighter to see if the dripping would stop but it didn't. I am returning this item. I was so disappointed. Its a shame because I was looking so forward to using it. April 12, 2014

A:
There are no water hook-ups available on the sink. I have a hose that attaches to the faucet and move the client close to the water source and use the hose to rinse the hair. The only other choice would be to use a pitcher to pour water over the client's head to wet or rinse. The drain also must be put into a separate bucket because it will not drain if the drain hose is higher than the sink, which is what happens when placed into a kitchen or bathroom sink.
