good results, but needed a second packet So my hair is about 4 and a half inches long and I dye it purple. It had grown out from a mia farrow short cut and about half of it was roots. Now, it was a little too short to Just hit the roots with no second pair of hands so I knew I'd have to blast the whole thing out and start fresh. This bleach -smelled very faintly of chlorine so faintly it was kind of pleasant, like lingering swimming pool smell in summer, -it did not burn my scalp (I used it with 30 volume of sally's salon care brand developer cream formula) It was, in fact so mild and did not even itch a little, to the point where I was afraid it was not working at all. And normally my scalp BURNS and itches. Since it was so thick and blue I could not see if it was working AT ALL. So I went to rinse and was pleasantly shocked (if such a thing can happen) to find my hair was a wonderful WHITE with a slight gold tone to it, if I'd had another packet and was able to get a better coating and left it on maybe five minutes more, I would be completely platinum. However I was really disappointed that this packet barely was enough to do four inches of hair. It'll be great when the hair is long enough to get the roots only, involved but if your hair is longer than about 3 inches you really are gonna want two packets. Other than that it smelled really mild compared to other bleaches, was very easy on my scalp and gave me a great white base to work with for the purple. I highly recommend, just make sure you get enough! some usage notes: I started with salt, pepper and red natural roots and purple ends that had been bleached before and then covered in purple semi perm veg dye. My hair was about 3 days since a fresh wash. January 10, 2014
NEEDS HEAT First thing you need to know is that this product needs heat in order to work. Since I do this myself at home and therefore need a hair dryer, I don't like this product. However, I find it does minimal damage as a bleach. Also the blue tone makes it very difficult to see how in it is lightening. When i use this product I usually just blow dry it for maybe 5 minutes all over then rinse. Ill be purchasing a different bleach since the use of this one is very inconvenient in my opinion. This stuff is NICE and it works great! I got a single packet of this stuff in the mail as a free sample. This is how i used it and it worked great this way. I measured it out using exactly 1/2 tsp of the powder and I added it to my hair color kit mix. example: loreal preference : blonde shade : light natural blonde. I would open the bottle that the creme developer goes into, put the powder in and then squeeze in the developer, close the bottle and shake very gently making sure you get it mixed real well. your hair color mixture will now be a light purple color and it wont hurt your hair.. dont worry it wont make your hair purple. make sure you dont go over the time that it says on the color box which is usually 20 min for most of them. rinse out,use the in real well, wait 2 min, rinse out. Then shampoo your hair ( 2 x) use conditioner and a deep conditioner that you can leave on for at least 5 min after wards. Then as a special treat and to keep your hair silky smooth, try some morrocan argan oil on your hair (walmart - $4.97).it will make your hair look and smell wonderful. John Freida Smooth shampoo & conditioner is wonderful for your hair ,it will make your hair look & feel glossy and omg the shine is out of this world! February 4, 2013
