Satisfaction Guaranteed IF used as Directed* If you ignore the directions (as I did the first time I used this), and wait for this to dry before applying your color, you will find your hair is crunchy & brittle.. If you apply the color when the filler is still wet, as the company directs, you will find your hair grabs the color more evenly & feels like silk. If you are highlighting your hair (lifting more than depositing), color as usual, wash & rinse, towel dry & saturate w protein filler, let sit for 20 min, rinse out. You'll be amazed. Apply color after 20 minutes? That can't be right. I have badly damaged hair from using L'Oreal Hicolor Red with 20 or 30 volume for the past year. I needed something to prevent further damage while dying again. This did help a bit, but I do suggest using a hydrating conditioner after (nothing with more protein). I applied as directed on damp hair, and waited 20 minutes. After 20 minutes my hair was nowhere near dry enough to color. So I went to bed and let my hair dry, then colored when I woke up about 6 hours later.... BTW, My hair was crunchy when it dried. I mean CRUNCHYYY. Like Jersey Shore crunchy. So applying the color was a task. July 21, 2013
great product After trying to dye my hair brown after it had been bleached for 20 years my hair turned grey. I desperatly searched around looking for something to help because no dye was taking, it stayed grey every time and looked like it was going to stay that color. So i came across this product which seemed highly recommended and even though i had some doubts i tried it and it worked :) i will be using this product in the future and will highly recommend it. I now have brown hair and am so pleased i found this product. One bottle was enough for my hair, my hair is shoulder length and yes it was a little messy but can be very easily applied, i didnt need a spray bottle and was able to use my hands to blend it into the grey areas where needed. Certainly great value for money!! February 8, 2013
Best hair care purchase I've been using this product for 3 years now, and it always gives me good results. When dying my hair, I do one of the two methods on the back of the bottle; spray on damp hair and wait 20 minutes before dying, OR add the protein filler to the dye mixture in the bottle. Both methods give me about the same results. I also use this once a month in between colorings to help strengthen and keep my hair in good condition. If you want to use this product as a treatment (not with hair dye), follow these instructions; Wash hair with shampoo, rinse thoroughly and blot as much excess water out of your hair as possible. Then mix 2oz. of protein filler with 1oz. of filtered, distilled or spring water in a spray bottle. You may need to double the mixture if you have very thick or long hair.Shake well and spray the hair evenly. When all the mixture is applied, run a wide tooth or fine-toothed comb gently through all of your hair to distribute the protein filler evenly.Place a shower cap or plastic over your hair and leave on for 1 hour. Rinse thoroughly with warm (not hot) water. Apply a moisturizing conditioner afterwards and leave on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. You will need to replace moisture in the hair after a protein treatment because protein forces moisture out of the hair. Protein strengthens the cortex of the hair while moisture, moisturizes the cuticle (outside) of the hair. What this product WILL do: Strengthen the hair, replace lost protein in the hair, repair some (or most) damage, protect the hair from further damage caused by the elements, chemical processes, and normal damage.Even out hair color shade when dying the hair. What this product WILL NOT do: This will not permanently repair the hair because protein is lost normally and gradually over time. This is why a protein treatment should be done once a month. Let's say you dye/bleach your naturally dark brown hair a light blonde color and you let your roots grow in. And now you want to dye your hair a light brown or dark/medium blonde. This product WILL NOT match your dark brown roots to the dark/medium blonde of the rest of your hair. Instead, this product will make sure that your roots evenly come out a medium/light brown shade and the rest of your hair will come out a dark/medium blonde shade with no blotches. If you want the color of your roots to match the rest of your hair, you will either need to bleach them, dye your roots only with a lighter shade, or dye all of your hair the same color as your roots. DO NOT use this product more than once a month. Using alot of products on the hair, on a regular basis, that contain protein can and will have the opposite effect; it will make your hair TOO strong and your hair will break. Some people's hair loves protein and they can use protein two or three times a month while other people's hair might not like protein so they can only use it once a month or once every two months. Always pay attention to you hair and give it what it needs and avoid what it doesn't like! November 26, 2012

I did my hair yesterday using the professional protein filler in red-red.
Should I get the neutral protein filler to keep my hair color nice and vibrant without fading or the professional filler in red again.
What us the difference between this neutral one and the professional ones with colors (red, brown...)
