Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT PRODUCT & WORKS WELL. I use it about every 2 months to touch up the new growth on the crown and back of my head it does a great job. It takes me about 20 minutes. Then I leave it on for about five more minutes, with a small plastic bag, while I clean up and then rinse, shampoo 2x's. Then deep condition and rinse. Put a little bit of Argan oil all over and style or let air dry, but still damp and you can, crimp, curling iron or hot rollers and brush your hair unside down. Then gently flip it back and soft spray and style. It look natural and not forced to be a certain color. Just try it and you'll love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from go-to bleach! I buy this bleach each time I need to pre-lighten my hair for semi-permanent dye. The bleach works best if applied to the roots first before working through the ends of the hair. It works quickly and efficiently, even on hair that has been dyed over multiple times. It takes me about half an hour or more to saturate my entire head of hair with bleach, and the mixture stays fresh long enough for the process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I tried it as a bleach cocktail/shampoo to strip off the dye (dark chocolate) I had ... worked like a charm without any major damage, will buy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff! I bought this about two weeks ago. - The delivery was quick (I think it arrived in about a week) -The bleach is great: my hair is ash blonde so it was very close to platinum (with another go it probably would've been). - A bit harsh on the hair, but with the right care products works well (for care I bought Loreal Total Repair replenishing mask, Loreal Total Repair circa creme (in a small bottle), and morocco organ oil).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall good, a few cons I've used most of the 16oz tub I got (which is a huge tub and definitely worth the $25) Before bleaching I had dark brown hair with a blonde ombre at the ends.. It took 4 bleaches to get to a pale yellow with this product and a 30 developer which I also got thru Sally's (don't worry I waited it out and didn't overly kill my hair). A lot of others say it works quick to lighten, I found it wasn't as strong as I expected but I didn't mind. I mixed a bit more developer then the directions. I found when I did the ratio suggested on package it was way too thick and lumpy. I mixed until the consistence was about cake batter type. It did dry my hair out (but it's bleach - I expected that). It does sting if you get it on unprotected skin, ouch! My little ear was blistered and peeled after I got some on it, which was my fault. I love how fast and easily Sally ships right to your door. Shipping cost was a bit expensive but it came within a week so I was overall happy. Would I buy this again? Possibly, if I ever purchase more bleach powder I may try something else instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product, Easy Application I have very fine hair that I dye about once every two months, alternating red and dark brown. I needed to get my hair to purple for Sakura Con this weekend and a Sallys employee recommended this product to me. It took 2 - 1oz packets of bleach, 2 small packets of red remover and I used a Volume 20. This stuff works FAST. I only left it on about 30 minutes because I want the purple to be fairly dark (I haven't done it yet) and it still bleached my roots to platinum and my ends to a strawberry blonde. Of course it damaged my hair a little, but I found there was less damage than with the last One N' Only Argan Oil red I used. (I normally do Clairol box dyes, and will stick with that as it leaves my hair healthier than before the dye). The application was super simple as well. I mixed the products in a glass measuring cup and used my gloved fingers to apply it. No brush necessary! The cream is thick and I was able to apply it myself quickly, evenly and without any spilling on myself or my counter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Professional Grade Lightener This Quick Blue is what I used for lightening my hair with a professional grade product for the first time. I think it worked extremely well. Having dark brown hair, I coupled it with a 40 volume developer for a high lift. It worked quicker than I had anticipated, which I was pleased with. Having had ordered online, I was surprised on how this particular product was made available to me; the bucket it came in (as displayed) was NOT sealed, instead by all appearances it looked like they had measured out my pound of lightener at the time of fulfilling my purchase, because what I found inside the bucket was 2 little plastic baggies filled with the powder lightener and twisty tied, assumingly a pound's worth collectively.

what is the ratio of dry bleach to 20 volume developer...... as in 1 ounce of the quick blue to 2 ounces of developer>

Asked by: Hephzibah
Yes, you are correct! It's 2:1 ratio, two filled scoops of developer 20 volume and one scoop of powder bleach. When you stir it completely it should be smooth not be like spackle. If it is to thick just add a drop or two of developer. Remember don't leave it on to long, 25 to 35 minutes (I picked this time because it takes me about this long to do my long thick hair) and short time if you have a sensitive scalp. You can also use ION Sensitive Scalp Developer . Good luck, I hope this helps!

Is the "L'Oreal Quick Blue Powder Lightener 1 oz." enough for short-medium hair?

I'm thinking of dying my dark hair to blonde. I have a short-medium hair. So can 1 oz. of the bleach enough for my whole head?
Asked by: HaSoo.Lee
No, your hair will absorb the bleach faster than you realize. Better to buy 2 and return 1 if it's not needed. Especially when you are stuck without in the middle of a bleaching process.

can i use this on dyed red to get to blonde?

I colored my hair red for 6 years, with last applacation being around 5 months ago and im ready to go back to blonde, however i cant afford salon prices. So will this make me blonde? Or atleast lift the dull red.
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes! I've been dying my hair alternating between red and dark brown for several years and this stuff stripped my hair to platinum at the roots and strawberry blonde at the ends. You're going to want to mix some red color corrector in but it's super easy.

Alternative for foil?

The instructions say not to use it with any metal so im guessing i cant use foil with it. Is there an alternative or can i use it with saran wrap?
Asked by: Anonymous
There are some coloring sheets that you can use its like thick paper with some type of silicone. Another great alternative is plastic wrap

My hair is black will this help my hair get blonde even though my hair is black

Asked by: Sarah
Yes, and it does it very well. I recently bleached my roots thats were black and in a little less than an hour they were blonde. Not a very bright blonde but for black hair and the fact that it took a little less then an hour, thats pretty good.

How long should I wait to use after shampooing hair.

Before using this product should I wait if I used shampoo to clean my hair a day ago. How long should I wait to use product?
Asked by: Reimi
In the past week and a half, I have taken my hair through the ringer, passed all known recommended limits and instructions. And my hair has withstood it ALL. The secret for me has been using a coconut hair grease before EVERY processing; before bleaching, before toning, and before dyeing. I've washed and conditioned my hair after each and went right into the next process until completion. My scalp is just fine and so is my hair...after 8 processings this last week and a half.
