Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Amazing! #Still even!. Ok,first of all,i have already left a review for this, but wanted to leave another one. I <3 this shampoo!!! Adore even!. For a very long time,i completely shaved off all of my hair and let my natural blonde hair come back(I'm naturally dark ash blonde),n started relightening them to a lighter blonde, since i'm getting older. I wanted to do strawberry blonde hair,Using this shampoo alone on my lighter, golden blonde hair,it has helped to give me the #perfect strawberry-blonde haircolor!. Just the right amount of subtleness that i needed for a very light, pale, strawberry blonde haircolor!. I <3 it n will keep buying it when i run out again!. I have 2 of the 33.8 oz. bottles. Thank you Quantum, you have given me back my love of strawberry-blonde haircolor! And it never dries out or dulls my hair at all. It's left really soft feeling even!. <3 <3 <3 how pigmented it is!.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from - the reason why so many of you are probably having an issue with this shampoo, as well as me, is because this shampoo still contains sulfates. sulfates are notorious for stripping everything out of hair, including color. even though this shampoo has a red tint to it, the sulfates just counteract any red deposits you'll get from this shampoo, hence the fading that happens. personally, i would recommend sticking to the red conditioner.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ehhh I've been dyeing my hair red for a few months now. Anybody who dyes their hair red knows that red color washes out quickly. I still haven't found a shampoo and conditioner that fits my standards. This was one of the first shampoos I bought when I started dyeing my hair red. This doesn't do absolutely anything for my hair. It also leaves it pretty dry and the color washes out so much faster. When I buy something I like to use all of it even if it's a bad product because i don't like to waste my money. However with this product I only used half of the bottle, the conditioner as well. Don't waste your time or money and make you sure you research products before buying them, especially if you're a red head. I'm still searching for the perfect shampoo and conditioner months later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for dark red hair! This shampoo can brighten red tones on it's own without the conditioner. I prefer it this way because the conditioner dries out my hair. This shampoo adds shine and makes my hair feel really healthy and alive. Doesn't add any build up and leaves hair feeling clean. Works best on virgin hair that has only been colored red. Doesn't work as well on bleached hair but still helps the color fade slower than it normally would. Overall, this is a great shampoo and great value for the price compared to other color depositing shampoos. Also, don't expect it to deposit a lot of color unless you have virgin hair. It only deposits a little every time you use it but in the end, your hair color fades less and looks brighter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad Does add color and help prolong the time between dye jobs. I would suggest using gloves when shampooing and conditioning your hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from REALLY Red All in all, I give this a good review. However, on virgin hair, it grabbed a TON of color. Hair is about a level 7 coppery auburn - it ended up a deep burgundy after using both the shampoo and conditioner together. Not the end of the world as it is just depositing colour, so it will fade. But it does deposit a lot of colour - so be prepared. Added plus being the hair is super soft with a great deal of added, noticeable shine. So all in all, as I said, a good product. Just use it cautiously - at least on virgin hair.

Is this good for naturally red hair?

As I've gotten older, my hair seems more orange, than red. I'd like to revive my hair.
Asked by: Raquel
As a professional hairdresser, our hair changes especially our color every 7 years. I have a customer for many years with strawberry blond, today it looks that way orange. She asked me what is a shampoo cap, her mother mentioned it. That is making a mixture of tint, peroxide and adding some of the shampoo for 20 minutes, to give that fresh color, she loves it.

Does it actually work, despite the sulfates in it?

Asked by: abc123
unfortunately, no. the sulfates just make this shampoo counterproductive. i'd suggest finding a sulfate free shampoo and then using the red conditioner, as it doesn't contain any sulfates and will be more gentle on your hair color.

How well does this work for burgundy hair? Does it make it more red/copper or will it replenish the violet highlights too?

Asked by: missfrosty1
It works best on only red tones. It will just take any red tones and make them vibrant. It shouldn't affect any other tones in your hair.
